Mr. Gomez was the consummate professional. He was on time, he was polite, he was friendly, and he took time to look in detail at the carpet and offer his opinion and then explain what he would do. He knows a great deal about carpeting and was able to explain (with ilustrations!) details about carpet manufacturing, fiber content, durability of different sorts of materials, qualityof backing, issues with padding and flooring underneath padding; on and on. 
Mr Gomez was a good teacher to help me understand how the Chem-Dry rep had messed up the week before, by putting cupfuls of soapy cleaning solution onto several pet stains; the liquid had seeped past the padding and into the wood floors on our pier and beam house. This allowed lots of soapy water to remain, which was drawn back up to the carpet surface every time I vaccumed, making a sticky, soapy mess on the carpet surface.
Mr. Gomez has a large, truck-mounted water-based cleaning and vacuum system, and so he patiently went over the entire carpet, making sure the rinse water was clean. The powerful vacuum he had got up all the water, so that within less than a day, the carpets were entirely clean and dry, unlike after the Chem-Dry visit the week before, where the carpet never dried.  His price was more than fair, and his service was outstanding.
