Exterior Painting
Painter seemed like a nice guy and promised a 110% guarantee. Derek Mire of Schulte Roofing gave him a good recommendation and I trusted his opinion, per his company's good reputation.
Painter moved quickly, did everything that he said he did with $600 paid before and $600 paid after. We paid the man and he even came back for touch ups. We discussed future jobs inside the home as well and had plans to continue working with him. Initially, we were very pleased.
The big rains came in May and the paint on the gutters bubbled up and sagged. He used the wrong paint on my metal gutters which is a rookie mistake, in my opinion. They came back and power washed half of my gutters and blew millions of little strips of latex paint on my walls, windows, plants, roof and even my neighbor's house. He never came back and I have seen or heard from him in weeks. I have called and emailed, but no joy.
I hope that he's not ill or injured, but I'm inclined to believe that he took his money and left. The painter's name was Ken Chestnut and his company is called A.K. Construction.
