A+ Tile and Marble
After our granite countertops were installed we went to look at tile for the back splash. In the check out line we met Jason. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and told us how to look at samples of his work on his Facebook page. We knew from his work that he is an expert.
We had picked out marble tiles for our splash that look best with no grout line, much more difficult to install. The tiles had light and dark shades in the boxes. If the different shades are not properly mixed the splotches of dark and light can look bad. We decided that this was a job for an expert and we were happy that Jason's price was competitive.
We thought that a simple brick pattern would be OK, but Jason suggested that he could do a "pinwheel", a kind of sideways herringbone, for just a few dollars more. Wow, what a difference! With the accent stripe that Jason perfectly located and the way the tiles above the stripe mirror the tiles below the stripe, it really brought out the best in the tiles and the granite.
The labor should have cost more. Jason had a lot of extra cuts and had to place, then remove and "butter" the back of most every tile. But that was the only way to do it right, and Jason takes great pride in his work. It was practically a free upgrade to the more difficult work because Jason wants to do something extra special, even if it takes him many more hours. The results exceeded our very high expectations.
Jason was very professional, showed up on time, cleaned up after his work, was courteous and was true to his price quote. We could not be more impressed with his work. We got the most value out of our tile project, and that special look. We highly recommend A+ Tile and Marble.
