They came shortly after 6:00 p.m., which was very helpful to us, since we were leaving town the next day and could not use the washer until the drain had been cleared.  We were very pleased that they were able to come the day they were called, since we needed to use the washer before our trip.

Plumbers called in the late evening hours before they were scheduled to see if they could get to us and if it was okay. We said sure  come on by. They were very professional  and had no issues going on top off the roof to snake the drains. They were very fast and friendly. So worth the money!  I would definitely use them again with our with our home warranty insurance.

This plumbing service was assigned by my home warranty company. Our hot water heater went out Saturday morning. We placed the claim Saturday, knowing that A-1 Rapid Rooter had until 5 p.m. Monday to contact us, under the home warranty contract. However, because Monday was the third day we'd already been without hot water, I tried calling A-1 before 5 p.m. The first two times I tried to reach them, the phone rang and rang. No one ever answered, and there was no voice mail. Finally at 3 p.m. Monday, I did get voice mail and left a message. They did not call back. At 5 p.m. I called my warranty company. It took 15 min. to get them, and then by the time they called the plumber and left a message, it was after 5:30. Because it was now after hours, the home warranty rep told me she had left them a message and to call back if I hadn't heard from the plumber immediately the next morning. At 9 a.m. - still having heard nothing from the plumber - I called my warranty company again. They called and got hold of the plumber. I was told A-1 would be at my house between 9 a.m. and noon. I asked that A-1 call me before proceeding to my house, so that I wouldn't have to miss 4 hours of work, just waiting on them to arrive. At 11:45, I went ahead and took an early lunch and went home, figuring that, if they were to arrive by noon, I'd be there. Sure enough, they showed up right at noon - never having called me. They left at 1:30 to and quot;go get the new hot water heater.and quot; The next time I heard from them was at 4:25, when they called to say they would be headed my way and quot;shortlyand quot; with the new heater. At 6 p.m., they hadn't arrived. I called to see what was going on and was told the new heater was being brought from Odessa, and then they'd come replace it. At 7:30 my husband called and was told they'd be at our house within 40 minutes. At 8:30, my husband called again and was told the heater had just arrived, they were loading it on the trailer and would be coming our way. At 9 p.m., I received a call that they were just wrapping up a job and would be headed our way. They finally showed up at 9:35 p.m. Once they arrived, they made several comments that contradicted the information they gave us on the phone during the day. They said that our water heater was covered under warranty and the supplier only had 5 and didn't want to let one go. They were supposedly told to return after 4:30 to see whether they could even get one. If they didn't know whether they could get a heater until 4:30 or later, why did they call me at 4:25 and tell me they were headed our way? The plumber also said the supplier wanted to charge them a handling fee, and he told them he wouldn't pay it. Earlier he'd told me the water heater was and quot;being brought to himand quot; from Odessa. Obviously, he'd talked to the supplier about the fee, so he had to have been there personally. The heater wasn't brought to him. Overall, I suppose the job was done okay (but I'm not sure about that, since it's only been installed for 24 hours), but it's frustrating to be left hanging and to be lied to for hours. I will instruct my home warranty company to NEVER assign them to us again. There was some additional work required that was not covered by the warranty. Since I had no opportunity to get bids for this work and the remainder was covered by the warranty, I am unable to state whether their prices are reasonable.
