First American Homeowners Warranty Company contacted Pool Care Plus to replace our motor for our pool which was covered under our homeowners warranty. Pool Care Plus owner came out on Thursday, May28 listened to the motor, decided it was bad, said it could be replaced before the weekend. He took our $60.00 check for the homeowners fee and left. We didn't hear anything back until 3pm Saturday, he called and said he would be out at 9am Sunday. We waited until 10:45 and his son and another guy showed up. They didn't have the right tools to take the motor off the assembly. Then they didn't have a gasket they needed, so they took the motor to their "shop" and came back with a gasket and a rebuilt motor. When my husband asked why they were putting a rebuilt motor on, they said it was up to First American if we got a new motor or not. My husband called First American, they said yes we were supposed to get a new motor. So we cancelled all work with Pool Care Plus. We called on two different days to get our motor back, they wouldn't answer our calls, so we left messages. Finally this morning June 3rd, we called First American and they called Pool Care Plus and they said they came out 3 times to bring back the motor, (not true, I have been home all week). My husband is now on his way to their "shop" to get our motor. The address they list as the business is actually their home and they are telling him the pump is not there!!! Pool Care Plus told First American they could put a new motor on for $149.00, we have researched the price of a new motor and the best price possible is $259.00 Pool Care Plus is rebuilding motors and putting them on customers pools as new instead of rebuilt. You need to watch these people carefully.
Description of Work: Were supposed to take off the old motor and replace with a new motor for the pump on our pool.
