The service techs arrived on time. Before doing any work the tech told me the system was old and needed to be replaced. I asked him to check the system and he reluctantly opened the service panel and stated there was insufficient power (no transformer) to check and went back to his truck. I reviewed the instructions on the inside of the panel and pointed out the system had power and the transformer was inside the control box. The tech came back and tested the system. There were 6 zones. He found the first zone has a faulty valve that was stuck open. 2 sprinkler heads were broken. The tech walked around and kicked at a few sprinkler heads and the tech again stated he recommended a new system at $2100.00. I asked for the existing system to be repaired and he shrugged his shoulders. He was not interested in discussing repairs, only a new system. I explained that I wanted to save the existing system if possible and asked for a quote to repair. He again shrugged his shoulders. I asked if he was telling me he did not want to do the repair work and only wanted to sell a new system. He shrugged his shoulders, nodded his head. I stated I would seek quotes for repair. He shrugged his shoulders and asked me to pay the service call charge of $89.75. I paid it, but it really felt like I just paid for a new system sales pitch from a company not willing to estimate cost of or do repairs.

I've used Petty's for landscaping and irrigation services for 7 1/2 years, NO MORE. The cost of their services is always higher than others, but a quality product is worth it. The quality of their landscaping services reached a level of unacceptability a couple of years ago and now the dependability of their irrigation division is no longer acceptable. After waiting 13 weeks for follow-up work to be performed, I notified Petty's a week ago of my dissatisfaction and cancellation of future work. After spending over $50,000 in the past several years on various projects, Petty's uses a photo of our landscaping in their promotional material, yet no one has even had the courtesy to contact me in response to my complaint.

Two years ago a crew came out, moved some dirt around and planted new grass. We still have water collecting in our yard every time it rains and the ground is so uneven we have to tread carefully to keep from falling.

On March 18, they were called to schedule an estimate to completely upgrade my system to new 4" high-rise sprinkler heads. Came to give me an estimate on March 19 - gave me an estimate and when I agreed, they had their office schedule a time to do the work. The schedule was for March 23, 2015. They arrived at the scheduled time (8:00am) and were finished by 1:00pm.
The team was very pleasant, professional, efficient and also answered any questions that I had while they were doing the work.
Completely satisfied with the work and the individuals.

Keith was great and very professional. Gave us a complete esimate and reviewed wht Petty would do and what our expectations could be. The cost was must higher than we expected and repairs only were not available due to new irragation requirements from the state.

I contacted three reputable companies in my area. Petty's was the third one I called. I found it somewhat amusing when the second company came out, the rep asked me if I minded telling him who the third company was that I would be talking to. When I told him Petty's, he said, and quot;Oh, I'm not worried about them, they'll be at least twice as high as what I'm quoting youand quot;. I was a bit concerned and nearly called and cancelled the appointment. Petty's ended up being $700 less.
I called the office to have someone contact me for a quote. The lady that answers the phone there is always super nice and does a fantastic job at making that all important first impression. Jason came out and looked at my property and was able to give me a quote by phone without me having to take off of work. They were able to work me in the next week. The Petty's crew showed up when expected and all were professional and polite. The work was completed in one day. The sprinkler system works great and all my neighbors are commenting on how great my grass looks! There was one small issue that my local water company was unhappy with, and Petty's came right back out and took care of the problem at no additional cost to me. I highly recommend them, and will call them for any future sprinkler or landscaping needs I may have.

The work was done on time and for what he quoted. My only complaint was that one unit was spraying the house and probably needed to be relocated. Since this unit had never worked I was unaware that there was even a sprinkler head there. Would have been happy to pay more to have that one moved but they had already left by the time I got home to inspect.
Still, the work was done well and I will use this company again. I will just plan on being home when the work is performed next time.

They were very responsive. They were very helpful. The guy they sent out was just really good. He was very helpful. He came up with good solutions to the problems. We were very pleased with their service. Overall it was excellent. Their price was average. I would use their services again in the future.

A leak in the underground sprinkler system was discovered after water began to saturate the yard. We immediately called Petty's, but it was two days before they could send someone to do the necessary repairs. We were told they would call between 7 and 7:30 on the morning someone would be coming and they did that. They could not give us an exact time but two individuals did arrive sometime that morning. The necessary repairs were done and we paid the amount of the bill, when it was presented to us. According to the invoice they arrived at 10:30 a.m. and completed the job at 11:30 a.m. The labor charge for that single hour was $139.25.
