"[removed member name] brought in his Microsoft Windows Vista PC on 3/22/2013. He expressed that it was running very slowly and would not complete the windows updates. After determining that his computer was indeed infected with mutiple cases of malware/spyware/junkware and virus's. We removed all of the infections and tested his system on many websites and installed all of the MS Windows updates that were needed. We also restarted his PC many times to confirm that his system was clear of infections and that all of the updates were installed. [removed member name] picked up his PC on 3/28/2013 ( 6 days ) later. And we started the PC in front of him to show him that the work was completed. The total charge was $55.00. [removed member name] brought his PC back to our shop on 4/11/2013 ( 14 days ) later and he had again infected his PC with more instances of malware/spyware/junkware and virus's. We again removed the infections and installed new Microsoft Vista updates and made sure that everything was working properely. [removed member name] picked up his computer on 4/16/2013 ( 5 days ) later and he was not charged for the second round of infections, his total charge for both instances of malware/virus removal was $55.00. Our normal charge is 109.00. We always advise our customers that there is not a 100% way to prevent an infection or reinfection of malware or virus’s, and that it is the customers responsibility to be careful where they go on the internet and what song, programs, browser add ons and videos that they install. We cannot be held responsible for a customers knowledge or skills if we remove malware and virus’s from a customers PC and then they insist on going back to the website and download the program or song or video that caused the original issue."
