Mary has over 50 years of experience. She has attended formal sewing education at a young age in Central America. She started her business here in Tyler in 1982 after her husband was assigned by the military to east Texas.

The alterations were done to specification, the work was very good, and it was on time and under the quoted amount.

The work was done on time and the price was reasonable, However the comments made by the owner's husband who is also the office manager made the experience a very unpleasant one
I purchased 2 pairs of pants and because of my size,needed extensive alternations done. when I picked them up I found the waist was not done correctly. I wore each pair of pants for about 2 hours. Since I had worn the pants. I took them to a dry cleaners before taking them back to the shop to have the waist redone. I took the pants directly from the dry cleaners back to her shop still in the plastic wrap. When I picked up the pants (again the work was excellent). The husband of the owner remarked that I should be careful of bringing in "soiled" clothing.
His comment was completely undeserved, unwarranted, unnecessary and very insulting.

"The remarks made to[member name removed] were in no way made to insult him merely stating to him that even though the items came directly from the cleaners they were not properly cleaned by the cleaners as the operator pointed that out to me before working on the item, and there were stains but I knew the item had been cleaned even if stains were visible, I told the operator to proceed and complete the work which she did and I pointed that out to [member name removed], there no other customers around and what I stated was done in the up most professional and discreet manner. We do apologize if remarks were received in a negative manner but that was not our intention. We stand by our work but can not force an operator to work on soiled clothing but in this case we made an exception because I knew they came from the cleaners, thank you for letting us reply to this review and hope we continue serving east Texas with the highest professional service as we have in the past 30 years."

Service took a little over a week. Did receive a call that they wanted to re-measure and pin to make sure of measurement. Said pins that had been placed in jeans had fallen out. This caused the delay in getting the jeans on the actual date promised. Not a problem though, as I'm glad they wanted to make certain of the length. Would definitely use them again. Very professional and employees were very friendly.

"We appreciate Mr [member name removed] review and its true that during November it's the time of year which we are most busy that it takes longer to complete an order but we try and service the customers as best as we can and do the work as expeditiously as we can but keeping our professional work in place. It was unfortunate the pins had fallen out so it was best to have Mr [member name removed] come back and have them re-pinned as we were looking out for the best interest of the customer., we appreciate the comments and the time given us to respond to this review. thank you"
