GARCIA TREE SVC INC

The crew showed up earlier than Mr. Garcia had indicated, and we were not home.  They started cutting down trees before we arrived back and had cut down  five trees, including those that could have hit the neighbor's house, without climbing the trees and bringing them down in sections, as they had been hired to do. Instead, all of the trees were cut down from the base and allowed to fall over, crashing through other trees on the way down.  The result was damage to other trees on the property and one tree landing across our patio, causing some damage there as well.  When we realized what was going on upon our arrival home and confronted him, Mr. Garcia would admit no fault and was apparently unwilling to finish the job in the manner that he had agreed to do it in the first place.  He took his crew and left instead, and we now have 5 very large pine trees lying across our property.  I will have to hire another company to come in and clean up his mess.  We had agreed upon a price of around $2,700 for his services, which was to be paid upon completion of the job.  If he attempts to invoice me for any of the "work" that he did, I will most likely file a law suit.  I would recommend that anyone steer well clear of this business and find an "A" rated company on Angie's List to do business with instead.

Trees were cut down as agreed.  I was leaving town before the job was finished and paid Garcia the balance due in full (my mistake!).  I trusted him as I had a good experience with him on another job he did for me.  When I returned home, I discovered that he had cut down several small trees that he was not supposed to cut down in order to facilitate him getting a tractor into my back yard.  He also damaged my air condtioner's compressor foundation, as well as denting my storage building in the back yard.  His tractor also caused damage to my neighbor's brick edging.  Additionally, his workers had rolled several of the sections of the trees cut down a city drainage ditch that runs behind my property instead of hauling them off as they were supposed to do.  Finally, he did not grind down one of the stumps in the front yard.  He would not return my calls.

did not do work as expected and agreed upon. left trash in yard, divots in yard, broken fence and bridge. spun tires on lawn. Will not recommend this company to anyone. Did not come back as promised.

I called for an estimate and was told they no longer provide tree removal services. Just thought the information should be logged here so people know.

The overall experience was excellent. I will use them again in the future.
