Work started out professionally and then the general contractor and the Brick Mason had a falling out. Mr Coomer came to the site when it was about half done and said that the general contractor had turned the job over to him. (C&C Masonry), he then demanded that I pay for all grout and sand seperately from the agreed upon per brick price and an extra $25 dollars per column fee for "level Work". In all an extra $400 over bid. I agreed to the extra money just to get the job overwith. All work in this 2nd phase was substandard with the manson rushing the work, when they showed up. The columns have varying gaps between bricks with the columns wider at the top that the bottom and leaning in general. We had them tear down 3 columns and start over. The job was not cleaned up approriately and the overall product was substandard. I am still cleaning up broken bricks and left over mortar.
