Polite. Showed up on time. Sent good pictures of the repairs that needed to be done, though none of what actually was done. Asked for an estimate to complete all necessary repairs and for a complete roof replacement. Price to replace pipe boots was several hundred dollars higher than other estimates I received. Never received any formal estimate for the roof replacement. Had to hire another company to complete the repairs so the "$100 repair credit" was useless. I'll give them a "C" grade in quality for the thorough inspection (evidenced by pictures) and the fact that the technician was polite. Other than that, I poured $49 down the drain for very minor repairs I'm sure would've been taken care of by the next company.

"I apologize for your dissatisfaction. We fulfilled every aspect of the Big Deal even though your home fell outside of the Fine print. Your homes roof is considered steep and retired special steps for my safety. The Deal covered roofs up to 26.5 degrees or 6/12 and your roof was over an 8/12 or 33.5 degrees. It also included "Minor Caulking." I still managed to use three whole tubes of roofing caulk. The condition of your roof is well beyond caulking as a repair. Every single roof jack was deteriorated more than anything I have seen in my career. Additionally, our estimate was for "Lifetime Guaranteed" Repair boots vs the common galvanized/polyurethane boots which have a life span of about 10-12 years."

It was very good and he was here for a couple of hours. I had 2 sections of fencing blow down. He did more work than the big deal was for. He nailed the sections back up and replaced 8 pickets and also adjusted my gate. His demeanor and personality I felt comfortable with him. He did the job real well and addressed all my concerns. I had him come in house and look at my fireplace as some tiles were coming loose and he removed them so they would not get broken. He will be coming back to do the repairs on my fireplace. Punctuality I would give him a B+.

Ricky, owner showed up on time as promised. Did quick inspection of roof and fixed blisters. No other issues found, thankfully! Also consulted on viability of roof cleaning (which he advised against, stating it would age roof quicker) and I appreciated his honest and straightforward candor. Will use him again in the future!

Ricky examined my fence and gate, and saw that the gate did not close properly. He trimmed the edge of the gate, and used large wood screws to vertically realign my fence so that it pulled the gate back into proper alignment. My gate operates perfectly now and I am no longer considering a total replacement.

I called, somewhat frantic today, because my tenant moved out and my agent advised me that the roof was leaking in the Master Bedroom. I previously had it repaired and painted, in a dry spell, as my tenant stated the ceiling was stained, but it was an old stain and there was no leak. When they moved out, it was very rainy, and the wall behind their furniture was wet, and the ceiling was definitely wet. I have the painters scheduled to paint the entire inside tomorrow, and I need to cancel until we resolve the issue. Ricky said he was in the area and could go over and look. He called me back about an hour later to advise that the build up of pine needles on the roof was causing water to back up and take the path of least resistance, which was the Master ceiling. I asked how to fix it, he said he just kicked them all off for now, but have the roof blown off seasonally, as the gutters cleaned. I asked how much I owed and he said "don't worry about it, just keep my name and number and remember me next time". In this world we live in, we need more like him! A truly nice guy that has earned my business, and anyone else I talk to that needs a roofer! He even took the time to email me pictures, since I live in Las Vegas, and would not be there to see it for myself. God Bless you and keep up the good deeds Ricky!

"Thank you for your feedback. I apologize you weren't satisfied with the timeliness of the work. We brought it to your attention of the surprises we found once work began. The cement & lath flooring which took additional time to remove and then add additional sub flooring to raise the floor back up. Painting of the bathrooms was also added AFTER the floor & bath enclosures were complete. That became a lengthy task as the multiple layers of wall paper was so difficult to remove, we decided it was less expensive, faster and would yield a better finished project if we just installed all new drywall. Which included taping, floating, texturing and paint. For two bathrooms, that process alone added nearly 10 days to the original estimate. That was a task that we weren't prepared for scheduling wise and it took a couple extra days to obtain materials and have people there to do the work. Adding work towards the end of a project is always tough because we run tight schedules between jobs. We did run into a scheduling conflict with my tile installer which only added two days if I recall correctly. However, the tile was complete in two days when I had anticipated at least three days for TWO full bathrooms."

The fence repairman was out at my residence but did not fix 2 gates as stated in Angies List.

"We apologize for the confusion. The ad specifically states "Adjust up to two gates." One gate was over sized with rotten boards and a broken post which we did make every effort to adjust to allow the gate to function properly. There was also an issue with the soil being sloped in a manor which would not allow the gate to swing."

When I first called, Ricky quickly called back and scheduled a quote which was detailed and also done in a timely manner. Once we got other quotes, we chose to go with On Top Restoration. He was not the lowest or the highest but due to his responsiveness and professionalism I decided to go with him. Once the crew started it went quickly, finishing in two days. Ricky was involved making sure the job was done right. The roof looks great. We are pleased with both the process and the result.

I purchased an Angie's List Big deal for this project. My first contact was with Ricky McGrath when he came to look at the project, take measurements and schedule the project. Ricky also brought tile samples for our selection. Ricky offered some design options for the tile design which we appreciated, as he had a vision of what the shower would look like and we didn't. It took a few weeks to get the project scheduled as On Top Restoration and Construction is very busy. We agreed to wait. This was a small project for this company and we weren't in a hurry to get it done.
There were several glitches along the way, but Ricky was always on top of every problem and we felt very comfortable that he would take care of all issues. One issue resulted in excessive construction residue and dust. Ricky offered to get a professional cleaning crew to do clean up, but we didn't feel this was necessary. Ricky obviously really cares about his clients and will do what ever is necessary to provide excellent customer service.
A few days ago, Ricky was able to schedule his best tile installers to finish our project. The installers even added a shelf which is greatly appreciated, very convenient, and wasn't even in the design plan! The result is a gorgeous and professionally done shower. This shower could be featured in House Beautiful!
Ricky was constantly in contact with us from scheduling our project to the final finish. We truly appreciate his professionalism and attention to detail. Although we know he has many other projects underway, he made us feel like ours was the most important project he was doing.
