1st Choice was very prompt in getting our roof inspected (they do free inspections), meeting with our insurance adjuster to make sure he saw every hail dent, working with our insurance company, and getting the project scheduled, underway, and completed in a timely manner. My yard was so clean after they left that - except for having a beautiful new roof - you'd never know so much construction had gone on! Their project manager, workers, accountants, and everyone we interacted with were very friendly and professional. I plan to use them for all roofing and renovation projects.

Great. They were very professional - gave options as to do repairs or replace the roof. We decided to replace, and we are so happy with the results. They got the work done in one day (delivered the materials the day before) and cleaned up completely. Every time we go for a walk and I see our roof I am thrilled as to how good it looks! David Chavez, Sr. Project Manager of 1st Choice Roofing & Construction met with the insurance adjuster at our home. He worked closely with the adjuster to ensure we received the maximum amount possible. He explained the roofing process & materials to us and provided samples. David was knowledgeable, professional, patient and on time for appointments. Eddie Almeida was professional and helpful when scheduling the work and material delivery around our schedule. The materials were delivered as promised and properly stacked in the correct area. Our home was re-roofed in one day and the workers were careful and meticulous in the clean-up process. We are happy with our roof and it looks great. We would highly recommend 1st Choice Roofing & Construction.

1st Choice Roofing did a fantastic job throughout the entire processes. They re-roofed my one story house in one day. They were meticulous in the cleanup process. My new roof is far superior to what I had before and I'm extremely pleased with the end result. The roof looks great. I actually enjoyed working with them. They keep there promises. They explained the roofing process to me. They explained the different roofing materials to me and why this one is a superior product to use. They were attentive to my cares & concerns. We had hail damage on our roof after a bad storm. 1st Choice Roofing made the entire process very easy to work through - from meeting the insurance adjuster, scheduling appointments around my work schedule, completing paperwork, etc. After completing the project, the roof looks great and we haven't had any issue.

We had our roof repaired due to storm damage. First Choice walked us through the process and also interfaced with our insurance company. The installation process is quick and they clean up well. It has rained a lot in Houston since our roof was replaced and we haven't had any issues.

Worked with Bruce Honts and he was fabulous. Went above and beyond to help make a selection of type, color, etc. Easy to work with - went on roof with adjuster to make sure all issues were addressed properly. Workmanship was great. Next door neighbor saw roof being installed and inquired about their services because he could see the quality of the work that was done. Highly recommend. Did not show cost of service - insurance related.

My wife and I hired this company to replace the roof covering on our home. After discussing the project with Martin Morales to some extent, I thought that we had thoroughly vetted our contractor and would be in for a good experience. Boy was I ever wrong! This was the worst nightmare that either of us has ever experienced at the hands of a contractor. To this day my wife bristles at the mere mention of Martin Morales or 1st Choice Roofing and Construction. Ask yourself just how bad does a company have to behave for the BBB to actually REVOKE a paid for accreditation. That's exactly what happened to 1st Choice Roofing and Construction after our ordeal.
I will never again trust anything Mr. Morales says and thoroughly regret ever having to deal with him or 1st Choice Roofing and Construction.

The materials were delivered a day or two before the work began. The workers arrived early and completed our roof in one day. When the work was completed, they completely cleaned up, leaving no trace that they had ever been there, except for our beautiful new roof! We highly recommend 1st Choice Roofing & Construction!!

We were in a quandary. The insurance adjuster had approved replacement of 2/3 of the roof due to hail damage, but said that the steeper parts were not damaged. Who replaces 2/3 of a roof? A company we had previously used, let us down and did not give us a report that we needed to appeal to the insurance company for a second adjuster.
In the meantime, we had called 1st Choice. They were unaware of the situation with regard to the insurance inspection.
As far as they were concerned, this was the first inspection Troy Franklin came, inspected the roof, took extensive pictures and in a few days supplied us with a comprehensive report documenting the damage. We used this report to appeal and ask for a re-inspection by a second adjuster. Arrangements were made and Troy met the 2nd adjuster and after the second
inspection, replacement of the entire roof was approved.
Troy is rather quiet, but entirely professional in his behavior. He took the time to sit down with us and answer our questions. He did a good job of keeping us informed of what was going on before and after the re-inspection and during the arrangements for scheduling delivery of materials and scheduling the work. We were also kept informed via email from the office. There was some time between approval and the actual work, but we understood that this was a busy time.
When the weather finally permitted, the crew (9 or 10) showed up on the appointed day at 7AM. Troy was present during the second half of the day and did a final inspection. They were totally finished, including a thorough cleanup by 7:30PM the same day! This was a for 3750 sq-ft one-story house (62.7 sq).
We?re very happy with the result and highly recommend 1st Choice.

1st Choice Roofing and Construction did a great job with my roof and gutter replacement. Their crew did the entire roof in one day (2,600 sq ft single story house with steep roof). They were very thorough in cleaning up after the job. I worked directly with Rene, and he was helpful and informative during the entire process. I would definitely recommend this company.

Very Professional, helpful & knowledgeable Sales Team (Bruce Honts) helped walk me thru the process since I have never dealt with this before (including how to work with my insurance to file claim). He was always quick to respond and would always follow up after each day the workers were out, to be sure all was done correctly and to my liking. The only observance/complaint I had at all was for the actual workers, who while putting on new roof were not very considerate of my yard/plants. Trash everywhere & tools actually on top of my plants. There was a slight issue due to shingles being pushed up underneath my skylight but once Bruce was informed he made sure someone came out to look the very next day and they were able to correct within just a few minutes, so I was pleased. Despite the massive amount of people having to do the same thing (have new roof installed due to major hail damage), they were able to get me on schedule pretty quick and all work was completed over a total of just 2 days, which was actually pretty awesome! Overall great service and quality products and would definitely recommend 1st Choice Roofing and will use them again for my roofing/gutter needs.

1st choice roofing was extremely professional and prompt throughout the whole process. Rene came out for the initial inspection and arrived before the scheduled time and proceeded to wait for me to arrive. Rene then worked with the insurance adjuster to ensure the correct coverage and scope of work. The roofing crew was very efficient and did an excellent job on the roof replacement. They took care to protect all around the house to capture debris and nails, once finished they cleaned up all the debris and swept for nails. Rene then came out the following morning to do a final inspection to ensure no nails left on the ground. After some more heavy Houston rain, there are no leaks and only found two nails on the ground that have washed up due to yard work and rain; all in all that is a great clean up job! Will definitely recommend 1st Choice Roofing and Construction.

I could not be more pleased with this experience. We had to have our home mold tested, in the process of the inspection, the inspector found a loose piece of cap flashing that was letting water seep between the brick veneer and the house (but not in the house, fortunately). He also noted our boot jacks needed to be re-caulked. I did research and noted from Angie's List that 1st Choice Roofing did roof maintenance work. I called and they were able to see me quickly. Glenn came out and did a thorough inspection and walked me through my roof's construction, from material to design. He was patient, answered my questions, and tolerated my 3 year old's attempts to interrupt. Work was able to be scheduled quickly. He wrote a detailed inspection and gave an estimate as to the roof's longevity.
Here is the great thing: the day of the scheduled work- the crew actually arrived early and were ready to work. Glenn met with them and personally walked through his report and oversaw the start of the work. The head worker, which I apologize I cannot remember his name, checked with me as progress was being made. He informed me the original caulking placed on the cap flashing was the wrong caulking and promised me that he would have it done as soon as possible as it was going to rain the next day. Work was performed steadily and I found no material debris in the yard or the pool after they left.
I could not be more happy with this experience and will happily recommend them to our circle of friends.

Very responsive to initial email request. Glenn came out and spent a significant amount of time diagnosing and preparing a report. It took a couple of weeks to get the work started, due partly to crew illness, and partly due to an email mixup. The work was completed satisfactorily and looks nice. There was some roof tar spilled on our concrete steps that we tracked into the house. I think we finally got it off the floor. Overall, I believe 1st Choice to be a good value...my favorite part of the experience was that Glenn spent a lot of time addressing our concerns, answering questions and not trying to sell us stuff. I believe this company to be honest and to do good work.
