Do not do business this this company. The owner of the business has allowed his father to do business and create contracts using the Solid Ground Concrete business name. However, the owner now has stated this Solid Ground Concreate business is no longer active (yet its website and recommendations on multiple sites still exists http://www.solidgroundconcretetx.com/). The father bid and proposed a contract for our workshop construction project for the pour of a commercial level slab. Our project also included the driveway to the building and a patio under the building overhang. The contract had a clear payment schedule. The father started this work in March 2021. He took weeks and months to finish up the excavation work required. And he continued to request payment ahead of the contracted payment schedule while continuing to be months behind. We paid 2/3 in scheduled and unscheduled payments. We received only two items (of seven) of performance under the contract and schedule, an overpayment on the contract of over $15K for work The father and company never delivered. When we requested them to provide us a schedule for completing the work, they refused to provide us a schedule and at that time he also stated we would have to commit to a change order to paying him the remaining amount on the contract AND an additional amount that was thousands above the full contract amount for him to continue work. We requested additional proof and documentation supporting this change so we can discuss. The father then chose to walk away from our project and not deliver on the services he was already paid for to that point. We consulted a lawyer who confirmed we had a very strong case and we have pursued legal action. In addition we had to pay another company the equivalent plus more to takeover the mess left and complete the work that was supposed to have been completed by Solid Ground Concrete.

This company is very professional. The work was done exactly as I requested and in a timely manner. The manager of the project listened to my requests and answered my questions prior to beginning work. The project was demolition of a small outside building that was squeezed between another building and some trees. The work was completed without damaging the other building or the trees. The crew worked well with each other and in a safe manner. Safety is one of my top concerns. Thank you for a job well done!
