Guardian Pet Sitters

Had disappointing level of care from this company. When I requested my house key to be returned they sent a bill for $25. Their policy is if they need to make additional keys it is $25. But to return my ORIGINAL key they fined me. ?? Goes along with their low level of service. Tacky business practices. So disappointed in how they handle customers. I found a service who is amazing & half the cost of Guardian. I am so happy I switched!

We interviewed several pet sitting companies before deciding on Guardian. When I made my first call the office assistant was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my queries. I made an appointment to have them come over and talk to my husband and I. They had the best answers to all my questions! One question I asked was and quot;what would you do if there was a terrible storm and our tree fell onto our home?and quot; Believe it or not Guardian was the ONLY company who said and quot;the first thing we would do is make sure your cats are OKand quot;. Then they explained how they would take care of the house! That is exactly what we wanted to hear. The three other companies we interviewed all said they would take care of the house ...great but were are my cats?? We are extremely protective and a little nutty about our cats and we wanted someone who would always put them first. We have used them several times during the past year and have them scheduled in the future already. Each time we receive text messages and pictures and detailed notes about the visits. We are completely comfortable with our sitter and are able to have the same one every time. She takes care of our cats and our house (pool, mail, watering plants...whatever we want) and is always available to answer my questions. Thank you Guardian for giving us crazy cat people peace of mind while we are away.

We've been using Guardian Pet Sitters since 2010 and are very pleased with the services provided. We appreciate the level of commitment to meeting our and our pets' needs. When we started with Guardian, we had a home visit to meet us and the cats, to go over the routines and get the layout of the house and where things are. We were assigned a primary sitter who comes each time and there is a back-up in the case the primary sitter is not available. We make reservations as far in advance as we can, especially around holidays and booking the services on-line is a plus. We highly recommend Guardian Pet Sitters.

They are really, really good. They are super caring and sweet with the animals. The prices are very reasonable. They are flexible with your needs.

We used Guardian for many years but decided to do some research and found they are more expensive than other companies if you have multiple dogs. Regardless, we continued to use them because we LOVED our sitter Suzanne. Recently, we moved to a new neighborhood but decided not to continue with Guardian due to pricing and our experiences with the office assistant which we found to be unprofessional. However, overall, the quality of service we experienced from our sitter was excellent and the "I want to make things right" attitude of the company owner are worth giving them a try if the pricing and fee structure fit your budget.

Lisa Brand is the young lady who came every day, spent time caring for and playing with my cat, Mandy. Mandy tends to get a bit cranky when we are away but Lisa was able to provide assurance to her that all was well with the world. Lisa sent pictures and text messages informing us of activities with Mandy. She prepared a daily log stated what was done and reporting on Mandy's actions. I believe Lisa has become Mandy's second "mother".

They are bonded and insured. They're extremely reliable. I will use them in the future as needed.

I have been a client of Guardian for over two years. Since I am a continuing client, I book my reservations online (very easy). I receive a confirmation email and then within 24 hours, my assigned pet sitter contacts me to confirm. My pet sitter was assigned at the initial new client set up and is my permanent pet sitter. An email invoice is sent to me just before the visits start and my credit card (on file) is charged at the start of the visits. Having the same pet sitter for each assignment ensures that the pet sitter knows my pets personalities, habits, and health and they know her (this reduces stress on the pets), my pet sitter knows my house and my expectations with each visit. My pet sitter fed my cats, cleaned the litter box, brought the mail in, checked that the house was secure and in working order and most importantly played with my cats. After the visits are finished and I arrived home, the first thing I look at is the daily log that the pet sitter leaves for me. It tells me what services where done and describes the antics of my cats while I was away. I also know from reading the log and descriptions of what my cats are doing that my cats love my pet sitter-this makes the experience stress free for me. I am also required to call my pet sitter to let her know that I have returned home safe and sound; that way the pet sitter knows my pets are now back under my care. Most importantly if something would happen to my pet sitter while she was caring for my pets; there are procedures in place at Guardian Pet Sitters to have a back up pet sitter immediately take over care of my pets. Guardian Pet Sitters has many employees to provide more than adequate back up when needed. They are not a one man pet sitting operation as many other pet sitting operations are. I initially chose them because they have been in business for 20 years.

Our pet sitter is fantastic!! So reliable, and terrific with the cats. We have used the same individual with this company for number of years.

We have always had excellent experiences with Guardian Petsitters. Every home visit was performed in a timely fashion and the dogs were safe and in good shape upon our return. Overnight stays have been seamless - careful tending of the pets and neat and clean in the house. The care providers maintain excellent contact via phone, email, and texting. We feel confident in their ability to manage daily care and the owner is experienced in crisis resolution and management. Sharon Jones runs and manages this business as if her own animals were the subject of the pet care. Can't say enough about her dedication and professionalism.

It was great. We met our pet sitter and her backup person before we left for Hawaii. Showed them the house, security system, met our two dogs, talked about our preferences. Our sitter did everything she said she would, walked, petted, played with and fed our dogs, watered our plants, fed our fish, brought in our mail, cleaned up any pet messes and left us a diary of everything that happened while we were gone. We even knew what the weather was like (if it rained she stayed in and played with the dogs rather than walk them). We even called her several times while we were gone and got a personal update. We will use their services again.

Guardian has been my petsitter since 2003. It's really more accurate to say that they are housesitters who emphasize your pets. They're all animal lovers who are specially trained in pet care for a wide variety of animals. Their backgrounds have been checked, and when you meet your petsitter, it's always a very reassuring experience: All three that I've had experience with have had friendly demeanors and simply oozed integrity. In addition to giving my two cats personalized care (right down to learning their favorite toys, hiding places, where they like to be scratched/rubbed, and how to administer any medication), they perform a full range of housesitting services like plant/garden watering, bringing in newspapers and mail, rotating lights and blinds, etc. All in all, Guardian is a terrific bargain. For slightly more than the cost of boarding at a vet's or a kennel, your pets get to stay in their familiar surroundings and your house gets looked after, too.
