We contacted this technician based on the positive reviews. He was responsive and came to inspect our dryer, which had suddenly stopped working and was making a humming sound. After his visit, we purchased the recommended parts and paid him $265. He assured us that everything was fixed and in good working order. However, once we ran the dryer, it emitted a burning smell and failed to dry clothes, even though it was running. We reached out to him again, and he agreed to take another look. This time, he said the motor assembly needed to be replaced and quoted an additional $400. He claimed that the replacement pulley caused the motor to fail due to a bent vent behind the dryer that restricted airflow, leading to damage of greased parts. While I understand that external issues like poor ventilation can cause stress on dryer components, I’m disappointed this wasn’t identified during the initial visit. A thorough inspection should have revealed the vent issue before we spent money on parts and repairs. At this point, I’m not sure if the initial repair helped or made things worse. Based on this experience, I would not recommend his appliance repair services. Don’t call them for any repairs

Another repair company that I used before ARS came in, replaced the temperature gauge, charged me $200-$300 and then said that the problem was with the control board, that it could not be repaired, and that I would have to replace the oven. Thankfully, my wife saw an ad for ARS in the latest issue of Angie's List, and so we called them. I called them. They removed and sent off the control board in my 15 year old Maytag gas oven for repair. Got the control board back in 3 weeks, and it looks and works good as new! I even got a 1 year warranty by the company that repaired the control board. The oven works great now! They saved me a $2,000 purchase, and I couldn't be happier! I DEFINITELY recommend Appliance Rescue Service to anyone! I will definitely use them again.

This man was a real pro. He knew exactly what needed to be done and did it efficiently. I was very happy with him and will use him again when the occasion arises.
