W R STARKEY MORTGAGE

We sold a house in Sherman TX and the buyer was preapproved in Jan by Starkey and we signed a sales contract with them Feb 23, 2013.  We were told the mtg co said the deal would be complete in 30 days.  It took 3 months and we didn't close until May 20, 2013.
We were told over and over that paper work had been sent "out" to underwriting, yet they advertise they are all "under one roof". We would get a closing date, then it would be changed because "underwriting" needed some additional information:  example:  decided after 6 weeks, they needed proof from IRS that the buyer's income tax  was actually in the IRS system, TOOK 3 MORE WEEKS to do what they should have done in January.  Sloppy work, poor communication, no excuse for terrible professionalism.  They said the
underwriters felt we were making too much money on the sale (even though we sold it less than the appraised value).  We had to give them copies of all receipts and invoices of work done and supplies purchased.  We submitted 52 pages.  Waited another week  Finally closed on Friday morning and WE WERE NOT PAID.  We had to wait until the following Monday.  Why?  UNDERWRITING wanted to check out closing documents!  Unbelievable!!  I would NEVER NEVER do business with this company again.
