Richardson was known in the area as one of the best fence builders. I contracted with them to install a fence for about $8000.00, which was about $2000 more than what their competitors would have charged but I wanted the best fence. The fence was installed and was of good quality and looked good. I was warrantied for 25 years. after about six years a stainless steel spring broke on one of the gates, and I went there to get another spring. The made a federal case out of giving me the little $2 spring but they did.
About six months ago I called about a fence post that had rotted off at the ground and my fence was sagging. I called about getting it fixed under warranty and was told the warranty only covered material and I would have to remove the fence post and bring it in so that Mr. Richardson could inspect it and see if I should receive and new post.
These poeple's warranty is useless. A six dollar fence post and they want to haggle about it. Go somewhere else and get a better deal, because if you think these people stand behind their warranty, you will be wrong. They are counting on you moving before the fence wears ouit.
