I am a life-long resident of Texarkana and I have known David for at least 20 years. I own several rental properties and David has done numerous jobs for me, first as a carpenter and later as a tree removal professional. David has always taken great pride in what he does and his work is neat. He recently cut and removed two pecan trees at one of my rental properties. His price was fair and he removed all the limbs including a couple of piles that were already there before he started. I didn't pay him anything until the job was completed.

The guy is a slave driver who is well known for routinely assaulting, pulling guns on, and bullying his employees. I recently worked for him and never got paid when calling to ask for my check I was threatened and harassed. I quit the job prior to this because of the way he talks to his employees and the fact he has a crew of people on drugs one of which carries a backpack to work every day with a pistol and drug paraphernalia in it. All together this experience was way to much to handle. Never again will I work for anyone on drugs, has anger issues, and gambling problems.

David came and assessed the situation. Two days later his crew removed the tree, leaving no debris in the yard. They even landscaped the area before leaving. That very afternoon a storm with high winds hit our area. Thank goodness for his quick response to our problem. The workers were very professional and safety oriented in their work ethics.

This tree service is a total rip off. This guy offers a daily rate with which he claims that he will have a team of guys working the full day for a certain amount. If you decide to hire this guy?s ?team? at his daily rate, get everything in writing, from how many people will be working, to the number of hours he consider a day. Make sure you have someone on site to watch and make sure they work the amount of hours you are paying them to work. I hired Mr. Ousley to clear some rental property that is located in a different city from where I live. I live 2 hours away and trusted him to do the work. I paid him in full before seeing what had been done. (I know, big mistake, right? But an honest person, for some reason still expect others to be honest until they show otherwise.) He started the job at 9 am and texted pictures at 2 pm saying he was finished. When I got the chance to go back to the property, the following week, only about half the work had been completed. When he was called about the unfinished work, he lied about what the agreement had been. (I reiterate. ?Get Everything in Writing? if you decide to deal with him). My advice to everyone looking for an honest person with whom to do business, DO NOT hire this man. He was paid $1600.00 for a day?s work and he worked 5 hours, did not completed the job, would not answer the phone until he saw that I was not going to stop calling, played like he was sick for 2 weeks, stringing me along and finally refusing to complete the job. He said, ?Per his lawyer?s advice?.

"This is a huge lie. Read all of my reviews and see if there has ever been a problem with my work or crew. She chose to do a day rate of $1600. and because everything she had, went over a 8 hour period. I gave her 10.5 hours and she thinks because she chose the day rate that everything she wanted done should have been done in one day. She told me she had a budget and that we could do all we could in the 8 hours that was hired for. Her sister called and threatened me at that time I told her I was done trying to help her. This is a case where she is wanting something for nothing. I can not stay in business doing that. She also has another huge pile of debris in the very back of the property that was never discussed. She had no way of knowing where the property lines are. Cutting a tree that's belongs to someone else is highly illegal. She wanted to meet with me at the property in which I agreed to do. On that date she called and rescheduled another day. Then on that day I was bad sick. She had no cares that I was sick and couldn't make it and demanded that I be there at that day and time. Her sister got involved and called me with treats to me and my business and at that point I told her I gave her way more work trying to make her happy, but was unable to resolve with out me working for free. I have never been talked to so disrespectfully. She also can't understand that I have a very tight and busy schedule due to our great work and happy customers. Please read our reviews, the proof is in the reviews. We are the best in the business and everyone we do work for is happy but her. Kind of speaks for it's self. I'm very sorry she's not happy but I've done all I can do except work for free...."

We had 9 trees we needed to get removed from the back side of our property, prior to building a new carport-storage shed combo and a covered pavilion.  They were down a hill and next to the bank of a pond.  There was a clump of 5 huge willows, a dead post oak probably 50 ft tall, and a few pines.  We got a couple of quotes, and David's quote was less than half the other one.  Plus, he had all these positive reviews on Angie's List.  So, who to use was a no-brainer.  The only problem we had was the amount of rain we got this winter.  David tried to get these trees cut down for us for well over a month...but every time it would almost dry out enough, it would rain again.  Finally, this week it was dry enough.  David, and crew, started working about 9:30am, had to go dump the wood 5 times, and finished about 3:30pm.  Unbelievable!  They did a great job, fixed the yard as much as possible afterwards, and cleaned up all the small limbs.  They do a great job, and get it done quickly.  I'd recommend David Ousley's Tree Service to anyone.

Job completed to my satisfaction. There were some issues with tools that were resolved quickly. Owner and workers came daily to do as much as possible given there circumstances/issues of the day (broken tools, cold weather, ect) One thing I want to give praise for is that breaks where reasonable and when owner and workers where on site, they worked and did not stand around like others have done so in the past.
