"Once again you are off topic, and posting false, misleading information. [Member Information Removed] Bath and Glass, Inc. only provided shower glass Enclosure. If you are having issues with your shower glass contact our office and were are happy to take care of it. However, before doing so I will expect you to pay the remaining balance due of $650.00"
Where do I begin? this company bills itself as though it is a bath remodeler. It is not. They can install glass shower walls and doors. The men who measure and installed the frameless glass seemed competent, though one of the installers let his power drill fall in the shower on the new tile. Hopefully it didn't crack. One of the clips on the lower part of the glass shower wall leaks water even though it has silicone on it. If you want anything from this company besides shower doors and walls, buyer beware. The tile installer was a hard worker and did a good job, however, we had to have him come back twice to fix problems. We were made to feel as though we were a nuisance for asking them to make it right.
Halfway into the job, they said and quot;we don't do plumbing.and quot; Excuse me, but how do you install shower and floor tile in a bathroom (which must include removing and re-installing toilet and shower fixtures) and put in a granite counter top (remove and reinstall sinks and faucets) without doing any plumbing? On top of the cost of what we paid Dallas Bath and glass, we had to have a real plumber come out and fix some of the plumbing work. For instance, the tile installer left the large bolts at the toilet base uncut with the little cap resting on top of it. There were other problems with the bath faucets that he had to fix.
When they brought the original granite countertop to be installed, they busted a hole in the sheetrock as they carried it through the bedroom and left some other marring on the walls in the family room and bath. They said, sorry, we don't repair sheetrock. If that wasn't bad enough, the countertop was not the one we had ordered, did not match the new tile on the floor and shower, and had to be taken back out again. We had to go from McKinney to far southeast Dallas one day, and then all the way out to Kaufman on another day to their granite suppliers in order to pick some out that matched our new shower and floor tile. The first team that came out to install the granite counter threw our original faucets away without asking, so we had to buy new ones. The holes they cut into the second granite counter top are a bit too large for the new sink fixtures. The new granite countertop does not appear to have been sealed and has holes in it. We're not sure what to do about this.
We needed a painter to come and repair and paint walls that had been damaged when the first granite countertop was brought in. Dallas Bath and glass doesn't do any finish work (touch up painting, wall repair, etc) so you will either have to do it yourself, or hire someone else.
The Nano glass protectant which is expensive but they tout as THE answer for keeping the glass shower enclosure clean, smelled exactly like plain old rubbing alcohol. I was told it does have alcohol in it but other things as well. You might try rubbing alcohol yourself and see how that works before paying to have them use Nano.
extremely pleased with the entire process. We received 3 bids and Dallas
Bath and Glass was in the middle pricewise. Shower glass IS expensive,
no 2 ways about it ... but their prices were in line and everyone I
dealt with was pleasant and professional.
We will be redoing another bathroom in the next year or 2 and I will hire them again.
"Always nice to hear little good news about on service. The shower door Business has some many moving parts to it, custom precision measuring and of course dealing with Glass is a challenge. With that so many things can go wrong along the way. Glade we were able to make it happen for you Member, and thanks for the kind words. George Martin, President Dallas Bath and Glass, Inc."
