Tulip Nails & Spa

It started pleasantly enough. The owner came up and assured me he had my color in both shellac and regular polish. I explained that I needed my nails repaired and filled; he pushed me to get shellac "because its better for the nails." I demurred but then everyone who followed insisted on shellac, so I gave in. They offered me a choice of beer, wine or a daqueri. I chose wine. The lady started my pedicure and another started soaking my nails. My pedicure had barely started when the ladies began a very animated discussion, resulting in another person coming to finish the pedicure. In other words, my feet were too bad for the first operator. The pedicure was ok, but my feet were still rough and I had to use a pumice stone to smooth them out when I got home. The girl doing my nails was too impatient to soak my nails off so she started peeling them off.. which meant the nails were torn. She tried to "fix" that using superglue. Then she ground them down with a dremel before polishing them. Long story short, I spent the next week trimming back my torn and damaged nails. The shellac also did not even stay on a week. My nails were so damaged I kept on trimming them until all 10 were to the quick. I went back to my usual salon (it had been closed while the operator was on vacation) and they kept saying, "They dremel'd your nails for SHELLAC???" Then they went to do my pedicure, and I had a FUNGUS on my big toe!. I have been getting pedicures for 15+ years and have NEVER had a fungus before. I waas disgusted and horrified.
Long story short, they ruined my nail beds and gave me a toe nail fungus, and charged me almost $100.00 to do so. Stay away.
