After taking in my son's car they gave an estimate of what it would cost. They informed me the difference between a brand new transmission and a rebuilt transmission and explained the person they used was very reputable and his prior work has never had any complaints. I went with the rebuilt transmission. They also explained the car was valued more than the repairs so it would be worth it. According to blue book they were correct.
Once finishing the transmission they informed me of a couple other things they noticed and I had them fix those as well. Even after fixing those two things they still came in under a competitor's price by approximately $500. The car was repaired to expectations and it is still running great.
The only thing I found lacking was their expediency. It took them longer than I think it should have and there was no communication in the beginning but ended more informed.
Overall I would use them again because their service was good and I felt their charge was reasonable.

I brought my vehicle to T-N-T because my brakes needed to be replaced, my electric tailgait would not stay up, there was a leak under my car, and I needed a state inspection sticker. They called and told me that my rear breaks needed to be replaced, they were down to the metal. This was fixed to my satisfaction. The tailgait now stays up but I can not electrically get it to come down. I will need to call them to see if they will fix this problem. Haven't yet had time. They told me that they were not able to find any leaks under my car and that they thought it was condensation run-off. Not sure about this for I went on a road trip shortly after and my heating system is now not working. T-N-T does not perform state inspections but the receptionist told me they'd be happy to bring it across the street to get it inspected. This was not done. The price was good for what they did do but can not comment on the fixes that now need to be done. When I am able to find someone to pick me up, eventually I will get it back there.

If you want white shirts and chrome/glass waiting area, keep going. This is a "mom & pop" operation. My AC pretty much quit cooling, they had me stop by to look at the issues. I was given an appointment for the following day. They had the AC drawn down, leak checked, a defective part replaced and repaired, and recharged. They also cleaned the the condenser and cores. In and out, one day, correct and on budget. It is now colder AC than when I bought it! These folks are great!

My vehicle, a 2006 Jeep grand Cherokee six cylinder Laredo, the problems I had were the engine light coming on and off over a six week period... I have an OBD
II scanner and found that it was 'throwing' two distinct problem codes
involving the gear shift and the transmission... I am not an expert but
more than the average person understand my vehicle... What was confusing
to me is that there were for the first three weeks no obvious
symptoms... In the last three weeks the transmission sometimes got
stuck in third gear.... But as I said there were two distinct codes
showing a problem.... I went into the Jeep dealership and asked them
what it would cost to check out my vehicle and they said $140.... Since
I'm not from the area, and no one I know could recommend a good auto
service.. I with, a bit of reservation, joined Angie's list..... from this list I found five-star reviews for a very small auto service station that was very close to my house....
I also took a look around their shop and found the finest quality tools
and diagnostic devices possible for a small shop .... They fix all types
of vehicles and I'm guessing any kind of problem ..... I also had
occasion to meet some of their customers and they seemed like people who
really trusted this service as I now do ...!!!
I told the owner Tim Wilson and his number one mechanic Trevor
...in detail, as I kept notations, what the problems were and asked
them if they would consider fixing it.... They said yes and told me
immediately that they do not charge if they can't fix a vehicle..
.
They very carefully checked out the vehicle on and off over a period of a
week. With their diagnostic equipment which is very sophisticated and
then by driving the vehicle.... It was not a simple problem as both the
engine light and the symptom would come and go and the codes would show
gearshift assembly and transmission
... Based on the nature of the symptoms/diagnostic codes it appeared
to be a "computer module" problem in either or both the gear shift
assembly or the transmission.... they did a lot of research .... And
did not charge me for this ..
.. They called me and said they were
pretty positive it was in the gearshift assembly but before going out
and quickly buying a part they made every effort to fix the issue
without having to replace a part.... by disconnecting and tightening the
plug-in connection for the gear shift assembly...
.. They also made it clear they did not want to make a mistake and wanted to get it right .... they told me ,unfortunately the entire gear shift assembly need to be replaced ...that is the way the vehicle was built....I did a lot of research on line and all of it confirmed what they said
They
kept me apprised of everything they were doing all the time and were
extremely generous and kind in bringing me home or taking me to the shop
where the vehicle was .... In the end the total cost was $848 of which
$623 was for the part.!!!!.. The entire gearshift assembly ..... The
Jeep experts told them another $ 92 part necessary however when I picked
up the vehicle they told me that this part wasn't necessary ... Thereby
saving me at least $92 ...
.. Everyone out there knows the
problems one faces when taking your vehicle in for repair .... As I said
I'm more knowledgeable than most but I too could have been taken
advantage of .... from looking online this repair done at the
dealership or else where could have cost me over $1400 ..... As I said
they wanted $140 to do a diagnostic,,,, I could not recommend more
highly, whatever your vehicle or whatever your problem, T.N.T automotive
services and their fine owner Tim Wilson and number one mechanic Trevor ,,Honest, true to there word, absolutely professional and kind and courteous

I just moved from Memphis to begin a post doc at S&W Hospital. On the way, I started having car trouble and barely made it to Temple. I didn't know anyone in Temple and got Tim's name off of Angie's list. He was wonderful. He found out the problem (bad gasoline which burned up the converter) and fixed it within two days! I felt he was honest and very nice and professional. I will definitely use him again!
