Lujan Remodeling & Fireplace Chimney Repairs

He came and repaired the mortar cap of my chimney. Then after 4 months it has start to crack again. We also have been getting rain in our chimney as well afterwards because of the cracks. It is difficult to get in contact with the company...

He never showed, called back, NOTHING. Very unprofessional.

Initial contact made in 24 hrs by email. He said he was too busy, so I should call him. He came out,smelling like smoke which is a turn off for me, and I asked for quotes on 3 projects. He never acknowledged the Angie's list deal or price on any of them. One of the projects, I wanted tear out only, and he never did give a price for that. He pushed doing all the work himself very hard. Second project he quoted a full days work, which I can do myself in 4 hours. Third project, he said he would get back to me with a price in a couple of hours. Two days later he called back. My wife asked for written estimates through email, but he wouldn't send them, only said he would call back. I'm sure he probably does decent work, but just isn't my kind of businessman.

The service provider called and informed me that due to the Big Deal he got two big jobs and would not be able to do my work for at least a month.  I have decided to not use the Big Deal.  The add was misleading in that it said he performed light electrical and plumbing but when I spoke to him he said he would have to bring someone else in.

After playing phone tag a few times and having to reschedule due to poor planning on the contractors part we finally met with Lujan. He was very knowledgeable but only does larger scale jobs it seemed and his schedule was very full. Call a few other companies listed on Angie's List for estimates while I waited for a call back from Lujan about scheduling, I still have not received that call I was promised.

Bathroom was gutted and new shower was built.  Walls were textured and painted, popcorn ceiling was removed and textured and painted.  Tile was installed in shower and on one wall for accent.  Tile bench was built in shower along with niches for storage of bottles, etc.  Tile backsplash was installed over granite countertop on vanity cabinets.  Cabinets were painted.  Floor was tiled.  Crown molding was installed along with new baseboards and door and window facings.
The bedroom walls were sanded and retextured.  Popcorn texture removed from ceiling and retextured .  Crown molding was installed and everything painted including a built-in bookcase.  All woodwork was replaced.
The cabinets in the front bath were painted.
We have use Lujan Remodeling in the past for work in our den, reworking our fireplace, laying new tile in our entrance.  He has also replaced steel siding trim around windows and columns on the front of our house with stone.
When we are already for a new project, we always call Mr. Lujan.  He does such quality work and is so easy to work with.

Mr. Lujan was very trustworthy and honest. He saved an area of fireplace that I thought could not be saved. He is an artist with brick. He worked hard and was very dedicated about doing it right. Only negative, he could have cleaned up better.

The work is beautiful.  He has done work for us in the past consisting of fireplace repair, removal of popcorn ceilings and texture of the ceilings and walls, tile replacement in the entrance way.  Outside, he did stone work by replacing wooden trim on the front of the house with stone.  We have had so many compliments on all of his work.  We wouldn't consider using anyone else for work in our home.  For plumbing and electrical work (which he doesn't do), he brings in excellent workmen to do those tasks.  His prices are very reasonable and always very well documented.  We feel we get top quality work by a very honest man.  We have absolutely no complaint with his work and highly recommend him.
