John Dossey Tree Service

This is the second time I have used John Dossey Tree Service.  About a year ago John and his crew trimmed several trees for me, and I knew from that positive experience that he is honest, friendly, and does great work.  Recently, a very large Hackberry tree near my house split at its fork.  It posed a danger of falling on my house, or other property.  In addition, one of my large Pecan trees had died and become an eyesore.  I called John, and he came out personally to access the work to be done.  We agreed on a price, and we set a schedule for him to come back and do the job as soon as it was dry enough to get his equipment onto my property. John came as agreed, and he had a crew of 4 hard workers with him. They finished the job in one busy day.  In fact, they stayed an hour or so late to finish the clean-up and haul away 3 large loads of debris.  John Dossey knows his stuff, and he is a pleasure to be around.  I give him my highest praise and recommendation.

I have about 2 dozen trees on 2 acres.  When the trees shed their leaves during the winter, I noticed that several of them had a lot of mistletoe, and several had dead limbs that needed trimming.  I found John Dossey Tree Service on Angie's List, and gave them a call.  Mr. Dossey responded immediately, and came out and gave me the information I needed to decide what I wanted to do to address the matter.  We set an appointment and he came out personally with a crew and equipment as scheduled and did the trimming and disposal work in about one day.  I believe they did a very good job and I will use them again the next time I need tree service. I recommend them.

I was very pleased with the outcome. All work (and more) was completed as per the bid. The original bid was issued in January 2014 when trees had not yet leafed out, so Mr. Dossey found additional work to be done when he and his crew came back in April (my timetable). Nevertheless, he remained true to the original bid and did not charge more for items that presented themselves once the trees were in full bloom. The interactions with Mr. Dossey were all excellent, from first contact, to bid, to scheduling, to doing the work, and to payment. He presented himself well, was knowledgeable, was certified and insured, was punctual and, most of all, he inspired trust that he would do a good job for a fair price. If you view some of my other reviews, you will see that I have been quite harsh if a contractor promises to do something and then fails to act against that commitment. Hopefully that contrast with this review will further reinforce the fact that Mr. Dossey did a very good job.   

Mr. Dossey was great.  He came out immediately when I called.  We set up a date, which was only a couple of days after

the day he gave me his estimate.  He came, did a fantastic job.  He cleaned up everything.  He was a lot more reasonable

than other estimates I had and they would have taken a lot longer to accomplish.

I would highly recommend Mr. Dossey's company to anyone.  I was totally pleased.
