We found a house online and made an appointment to see it. After viewing the property twice we made an offer. The listing agent held this offer up for issues that didn't matter. After she scratched out numerous items and had the sellers initial it, had it faxed to us (we were 200 miles away) to initial and fax back. This was done at least three times and THEN she wanted our agent to write an entirely new contract with no cross offs in it. My realtor complied and then Teresa the terrible crossed off things again! Needless to say we drove 200 miles with two vehicles full of our stuff only to find out we were not closing that day. Had this agent done her job in a timely manner we would have closed on time. We offered to lease the property for the weekend since we had two trucks full of our things. She absolutely refused to even take this offer to her clients and was willing to let the deal go dead! We would have paid $200 more to be able to move our things into the house so we could drive back and meet the movers the next day. Instead we had to cancel the movers and eventually rent a uhaul truck and load it ourselves at the last minute. This realtor did not want to serve her clients, she attended the 2nd showing and was clearly trying to rush us through. She also wanted our realtor to just take a verbal OK on conditions of the offer because she didn't want to present a counter offer to her clients. I believe that this realtor's broker was notified of her behavior but it is unknown if any disciplinary action was taken. This realtor cost us (not to mention) her clients needless stress and hundreds of dollars in fuel cost for a trip we didn't need to make, the canceling of movers and worse yet, we had to move ourselves (and we are in our mid fifties). I would NEVER in a million years recommend this realtor or this agency.
