"We regret this situation and understand the customer’s exasperation. We definitely have had challenges this past year in trying to keep up with increased call load. The fact that we’ve had more than one customer voice their frustration about callbacks makes it a pattern which we have addressed by hiring additional personnel, referring repair calls to other qualified local contractors, and making a concerted effort to assure no one ‘slips through the cracks.’ As for the customer’s roof, it is an unfortunate circumstance and contributing factor that the installation was not done correctly by the original installer. Our attempts at intervention were not sufficient to alleviate the issues inherent with this level of workmanship. It became our opinion that the only real fix was to start over but we were willing to try a few other measures to help the customer out. We were remiss in not letting the customer know it would be some time before we could get to it due to prior contracts. Additionally, we should have given them regular updates as to our status. We do sincerely hope they are able to locate a roofing contractor who is able to give them quality help in a timely manner."
Work was satisfactory.
We had one issue. We requested that they give advance notice prior to initiating work so that we could secure our two dogs. They arrived without prior notice opened gate and let the dogs out. We spent two days looking for one of our dogs.
"There was definitely a communication error between the office and field personnel which led to our crew arriving before the homeowner was aware they were coming. We were very upset ourselves the dog had escaped due to our error, because we know that pets are family members. Our office immediately contacted all Animal Control services and animal shelters in the area and all adjoining cities. Additionally, our owner and our office admin gave the customer their personal cell phone numbers and offered to come help look for the dog that day and continue through the weekend if needed. Fortunately for all, the dog was found safe. It was a potentially heart-breaking lesson in the importance of not only good but consistent communication, as well as the need for situational awareness by all crew members at a job site."
