"You registered your complaint three years after the work was completed. The work was completed in 2013. Granted there were some issues they, were addressed and satisfied. The bottom line you did not want to pay the full amount. Your put nothing down which is my rule and all on completion. This is the only complaint I have had in 56 years my record speeds for it self. I am 82 years old and still at it."
Aaron, the owner, is a very professional and courteous person. Very easy to work with. He responds quickly by phone or by e-mail. Aaron told me that his crew foreman is a "real craftsman" and that he does excellent work. He was completely right. I've had my fair share of bad experiences with contractors, but Aaron's crew did excellent work. I had a few concern areas which I discussed with the crew. They took extra time to solve every problem.
We chose to go with SmartSide due to the environmental concerns of Hardie and the fact that Hardie can be destroyed so easily. Hardie seems to have successfully dominated the Houston market, but from all our research, we felt SmartSide is more desirable. They look nearly the same, but the durability is quite different between products.
Communication was fine throughout the process. No problems.
Price - I had several estimates from top-rated Angie's List companies in the area, and although this price was slightly higher than one bid, I feel like I made the right decision.
In one month we have already had several neighbors compliment the work and ask who the contractor is.
