If not under warranty and cannot be repaired, we are out > $3K ($4K cost of table + $4.7K down pmt. - work performed ($5.7K less unfinished tile work)), in which case we will pursue them in court. Needless to say, we were absolutely astounded by how rude and offensive the owner's behavior was (and continues to be). In all of our years of experience, we have never encountered such completely irrational and unprofessional behavior. I find it hard to believe that they are still in business after 3 years, much less have the repeat/referral business that they claim, unless they (and their previous customers) have been fortunate enough not to have experienced any costly work related issues. It is ironic that we hired them based primarily on an article in a local magazine where they tout their commitment to treating your home with the same care we would our own and how you will be treated like family and instead had an experience that could not have been further from the truth.
Description of Work: Regal was contracted to put in hardwood, tile & carpet for approx. $9K (50% down). They completed most of the tile (missing grout, touch-ups, & cleaning left) and the hardwoods none of the carpet. As they were moving furniture back, I noticed a very large area (approx. 9 x 8 in.) on the dining room table where the top layer (veneer) was either torn off or had 'bubbles'. The damage does not appear to be from scratching the table, but from putting something on top of it that would warp the veneer. The installers admitted that they did not see the damage prior to moving the table, however, the company refused to repair/replace the table once they found out the cost of the table($4K). As if that were not enough, the owner, Mike Alnaser, responded to our request to rectify the situation by shouting obscenities at us, pointing his finger in my husband's face while screaming that we were a ''bunch of pigs'', and calling me a ''b----'', before peeling out of our driveway. Real classy guy.
