FRESH COAT PAINTERS

Carlos is a smooth talker and came across very professional. I explained exactly what I wanted which was nothing fancy - standard basic stuff - ceiling repair or replacement to eliminate water damage in one living room, patch a few small water spots on the ceiling, and take down all old water damaged paneling to replace with new insulation, drywall, trim and moldings then paint all in a basic grey/white. He wrote up the contracts, I signed and paid 20% up front with the remainder to be paid at completion with the entire job to take 3-4 days total. Carlos didn't communicate with his people or else he intentionally took short cuts. He put a loose, swirly texture on the ceiling which looked NOTHING like the existing ceiling texture, so they agreed to re-texture it. This set the whole job behind several days. After that the work slowed down to a crawl as only one guy worked consistently. 5 days in, Carlos says it's going to be another 3 days, and oh by the way, he usually has a guy that does window trim but that guy is too busy so they're not going to do the window trim. "It'll be more modern without the trim," he said. (Never mind that all the other windows and doors have trim. ) Carlos made no offer to reduce the charge though he reduced the scope of the job. Next, he says he's not going to install the door casing he removed from the wall. I insist that he do this work or reduce the amount owed and he says he'll do it. He bought a new saw and two guys worked all day on the trim but only completed one window completely. The next morning, Carlos shows up and asks me to pay him another 40% because "I have to pay my guys." I thought this was odd so I told him I could pay him an additional 11% in good faith, but the rest of the money would be paid in full when the job was complete since he said it would be finished the following day. Carlos refused and said he had another job to go to that he didn't want to lose it. There is sawdust all over my wood and tile floors, my white couch is permanently stained where it was left partially uncovered, and the entire job is less than halfway complete. No taped joints, no wall texture, no crown molding,baseboards, no door casing, no window trim, no walls painted because Carlos found another customer willing to pay more money and ditched my job already underway. Before I signed the contract, Carlos constantly told me his was a professional company and I had nothing to worry about, but once the job started he was only on site to make excuses for the work he wasn't going to do, and to ask for more money. I would not wish this experience on anyone.

Everything went very smoothly. Carlos came out to take a look and give me an estimate. He sent me an email right away with my estimate. The proposal was very detailed, so we knew just what to expect. His email also included more information about his company and processes. He was able to have someone (Hector) out quickly to do the work and the finished product is beautiful. They fixed small holes in the walls and stains on the ceiling - you can't even tell where they were. We are very pleased with Fresh Coat and would use Carlos and his company again in the future.

Job was well done.  Team was on time, did great job of prepping and cleaning and was done  in one day as promised.  Looks great and price was very good compared with other quotes.

They did a great job painting the exterior of the house using three colors.  The crew was very polite and responsive - very easy to deal with.  The quality of the work was excellent and they wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the job (which I was).

Very happy with all the work performed. Job was done promptly and efficiently with minimal mess. They cleaned up every evening after the days work. They made sure I was completely satisfied with the work and did not hesitate to touch up some areas I requested when the job was completed. They were very neat. My house looks better than it did when it was newly built, 6 years ago.

The owner of Fresh Coat was very professional and on time.  He did a thorough measurement of the house and all rooms.  He provided a nice quote of each room and it was broken down individually.  
Fresh Coat brings all of their own supplies AND  the paint, which I picked out. The painters did an excellent job and the house was left in great condition.  They cleaned up their supplies and were very timely and professional.  The owner of Fresh Coat inspected the before and after job before they left.
I would highly recommend Fresh Coat Sugar Land without hesitation.  The whole experience was wonderful and my house looks great.  I look forward to painting more rooms soon.  The prices was fair for great quality work.

The job went very well.  Carlos was very professional and gave me a competitive price for the job.  The workers did a very nice job on the painting, though the sheet rock repair I would have like the floating to match more with the existing float texture.  They cleaned up thoroughly after the job and used a high quality of Sherwin Williams paint that they provided.  I would recommend and use this company again in a heartbeat.
