They were punctual for the initial estimate and very professional. I had four estimates done for the job and Colony Gutters were the only ones who seemed to take into consideration the exact needs of the home as far as location and size of gutters. We ended up with a mixture of 5" and 6" gutters based on the roof contours and amount of expected water run off. They gave professional judgment on what was needed and didn't try to sell us something the home didn't need. They weren't the cheapest estimate, but not the most expensive either. I was happy to pay more for peace of mind that the job would be done well. I called a month after the estimate and they were happy to honor the price and get the work scheduled. I was told it would be about 10-12 days and they would call the day before install. They actually made it out less than a week later and the gutters look great! I am so happy to finally have rain water directed away from the home rather than running off the roof and under our window sills and door frames.

I was looking for a local contractor in the Fort Bend area and read the many positive reviews on Angies List about Colony Gutters in Sugar Land.
Dom Garcia came to our house and provided an estimate to replace the aluminum gutters around our garage and two downspouts. He was very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable with no hard sell tactics. He made a constructive suggestion to replace the existing downspouts with wider versions to increase the water flow.
On the scheduled day Dom called ahead of time. The workers arrived on time and installed the gutters in a very professional manner. They cleaned up all of the mess and hauled away the old gutters.
I was very pleased with the quality of their work and would highly recommend them.

Went great! Came out to give me an estimate. Set up the installation day. Showed up on time and completed the work efficiently.

They returned my phone call promptly and we had a quote the same day. They installed the gutters while we were at work with no problems and we are very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship.

Replaced 1 two story downspout and a couple damaged elbows. Job was done quickly and as written up in contract. Very professional and would recommend to anyone.

After speaking with the office, Dom called and we set up a time for him to come to the house and evaluate the problem. He arrived on time and did a thorough evaluation, including asking if any gutters overflowed, if there were places around the house that seemed to get a lot of water, etc. They arrived on time to start the work, and finished when they said they would. The work was done by Dom and his two sons. Very polite and professional. Would definitely reccommend them.

So after I felt I got duped into getting these gutter covers, they came out and installed the covers, and cleaned the gutters.
They left trash in the yard, soda can, candy wrapper, this was not stuff from the gutters as it was not sun baked, discolored or dirty.
I know what trash from a gutter looks like, because they left that in the yard too.
The trash from the gutters that was bagged up, was left in the middle of the yard, which I had to move to the street so it could get picked up on trash day and one of the bags was so full that it busted open when i moved it, and i had half a bag of gutter trash in the yard I had to pick up.
If all the other reviews on here are right, and not bs, then I suppose they did a s***** job because I wanted to cancel and get my deposit back. Also I do still need gutters on the rest of the house, and I will not use Colony Gutter and Sunscreens.

Pleasure to work with this company. They worked with no problems around some design issues of my roofline, price was good, installation perfect (with cleanup).

I had contacted three companies for giving me estimates for the job. With Colony Gutters I liked that Dom who was actually going to do the job came out to look at it. The other contractors sent their salesmen, who didn't point out to me that some of the facia wood needed to be replaced. Dom also agreed to repaint a part of the garage door that my Home Owners Association was'nt happy about. Dom came with his two sons at the appointed time and finished the job that same day. They did an excellent job and I haven't received any more letters from my home owners association. I would recommend Colony Gutters whole heartedly to anybody for a similar job as mine.

It was fine and I've had no problems. They did the job as they said they were and they came out promptly.

I called three gutter companies from Angie's List to get bids for this job. They all showed up without ladders to bid the job. Since the gutters were 18 feet up in the air, none could make a bid. The other two vendors declined to work on the job saying that because the roof was a standing seem metal roof and the gutters were custom made thay could not work on them. That did not seem to be a problem for Dom from Colony Gutters. He came back and bid the project and was able to complete the work within a few days. When Dom and his crew showed up they had everything they needed, set right to it, and completed the job. Dom also checked out the downspouts and the pipes they drain into while he was there. I am very satisfied with their work.

They were fast, clean, efficient and showed up on time. Reason I haven't reported on them is because there has been no rainstorms to test the gutters. However, I do like the fact that there isn't morning dew around the doors. All moisture from the roof rolls into the gutters and then down the downspouts. We took the gutters off in 1990. I just had to replace a lot of rotten wood around the house and garage plus all door ways and thresholds. The gutters will take care of this problem.

Since we had used Colony in the past for window screens and solar screens and were happy with their work, we called for an estimate on replacing all of our gutters and downspouts. They came the next day, looked at the roof carefully, measured and gave us an estimate that was competitive with other companies. The estimate specified 6and quot; gutters in a high volume area that has overflowed in the past and 5and quot; gutters for the rest of the house. They also use the larger 3and quot; x 4and quot; downspouts. They came a couple of days later and removed the existing guttering so I could repair/replace/paint the fascia boards. They called once to check on my progress so they knew when to order the materials and estimate their schedule. When I was ready, I called and they installed everything about 3 days later. They worked quickly and efficiently with attention to details like extra reinforcing at outside corners. There are a couple of downspouts that could be a bit better esthetically but my gutters look better than any others down the street. Needless to say I am satisfied and would recommend Colony to anyone.

I seldom find contractors that I am as pleased with as I was with Dom, and I am pretty picky. Colony gutters was third gutter company I had out to give an estimate. The first was telling me I would get 'deal' at 12K for my home and the 2nd quote was reasonable, but not very confidence inspiring. Dom (the main guy with Colony) took his time to make a good, detailed sketch of the job and walk me through his reccomendations. We talked about some points that were different from how the quotes had been, but his points made sense to me, an engineer with lots of serious home restoration experience. I expected a fairly high quote but his was very reasonable. I also wanted special order heavier guage (0.032" aluminimun instead of standard 0.027" material) and this was no problem. It was an extra $135 so I got the guage I wanted and did not feel I was being gouged. After the quote was complete I had a question about one downspout location and he came back out to clarify. When he did the work his crew was appreciative and careful of my wifes gardening work; It was the first time I have ever heard her say "wow they (contractors) did not mess up my garden at all" - high praise indeed. The workmanship is very good, the materials are right, the garden was not disturbed, the price was quite reasonable, and they did the work on time, on budget and smoothly. I would reccomend them for gutter jobs to my friends and would use them again myself. This is the best review I have ever written for a contractor. I wish more could be like this!

They did a great job. It was excellent. Price was good. Quality was good and they were on time. It was my best experience with anyone on Angie's List.

I called to have the gutters and down spouts cleaned following Hurricane Ike (Dom and his son's had repaired my gutters and installed new down spouts one year earlier and did a great job, approximately $1100). Dom inspected the job and quoted $175 to clean all the gutters and all downspouts. I was not home when the job was done and I asked Dom if the crew replaced the 3 foot down spout over the garage that become detached during the storm and was sitting on the roof next to the connection, he did not know and needed to ask his crew. Dom called me that night at 8:00 pm and said that no they did not see the detached down spout but he would take care of it. 30 minutes later Dom called at 8:30 pm and stated it would be an additional $25 to return and fix the down spout primarily to cover his gas. I questioned how they cleaned the down spout if they did not notice it was detached and sitting next to the gutter (remember Dom and his son's installed this down spout for me one year prior). He stated he was not responsible for storm damage and insisted on $25 additional for gas. I decided to re-attach the down spout myself after this conversation and discovered that the section of gutter that the detached down spout went too was not cleaned at all, in addition the vertical downspout was also not cleaned. Dom then called on Sunday morning and asked if he could pick up the check because he was in the area and I told him that the check was mailed, he then accused me of lying. Tuesday after he received the check he called to see if he could finish the job! Dom's manor was completely unprofessional and instead of finishing the job he was paid for he has lost my business, all for $25.

Very well. The owner came out on a Saturday afternoon, prepared a detailed estimate and made arrangements to return for final measurements and installation. The gutter work was done within 3 days and the solar screens were installed in 7 days. The original time estimate was 10 days. The installation was very workmanlike and attractive which made us decide to cover additional windows.

Great! Mr. Garcia was a pleasure to work with - came exactly when he said he would to do the estimate. Completed the estimate before he left my house and we set up a time to do the work. On the work day everyone arrived exactly when they said they would and completed the work and left everything tidy. I was very pleased with the results and pleased to get exactly what I expected!

Initial consultation and estimate on Saturday, paid half the project cost up front. Entire scope of work was completed in one day on following Wednesday. Gutter color exactly matches the trim on the house. They cleaned up after themselves and the whole job looks great.

We were very comfortable with the price that they charged. We have used them in the past and both times the work was good. They came when they said that they would and they put the screens on with no problems at all.

Dom came out as scheduled and spent considerable time with me as we discussed what I wanted. Because of several changes in elevation and decking the plan was a little more complicated than I had originally envisioned, but after he showed me how it would work I understood that his plan made good sense and fit what we needed. Dom does a written contract and requests half the cost then to cover material costs. We agreed on a time and date for installation and he showed up as agreed upon. He did most of the cutting and measuring and his son and a helper did most of the installation. They worked well, the gutters were installed as planned, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves.

They were A all around!
