Chuck is great! I can't say enough about him. He's always on time. Takes his time to get your project right with the least expense. He's honest in his assessment of your project, let's you know up front the cost. I have no complaints about his work and definitely recommend you give him a try if you're looking for a reasonably priced handyman. You won't regret it!

Chuck at Checkmark provided us with excellent advice on to how to resolve an issue and followed up with great project execution and workmanship to resolve an issue we had with our kitchen cabinets. Great communication and quality work at a reasonable price. Chuck provided us with an estimate and stayed on budget. Very diligent and disciplined and shows up on time and keeps you informed during the process. Highly recommended.

"The work entailed: - Removal / replacement of one lockset (took 15 min.), - Lowering of a latch plate in another door (chisel & wood filler work - took 25 min.) - Removal of over 100 feet of lights that had been individually glued to the 1st & 2nd stories of the brick, & removal of the glue from the brick (took 80 min.), - Removal of a wreath from the front of the home (took 2 min.), - Removal of over 50 feet of lights from each front oak that had been wound around and through the tree branches to 12 feet above ground level using an amazing quantity of staples (took 35 min. per tree) - Removal of a half dozen net lights from bushes, plus removal of lights along both driveway borders (took 15 min.), - Removal of lights from the boat dock handrail and ballisters, including removal of the staples (took 30 min), and - Removal of icicle lights along 3 sides of the back porch roofline (5 min.) The above durations exclude time spent initially reviewing the work needed, and discussions of how long the work should take. Light strings and wreath were placed on the front porch, as instructed. When I called after the purchase of the Two Hour Deal, Mrs. [Member Name Removed] stated that the removal of Christmas lights should only take an hour. When Mr. [Member Name Removed] discussed the work with me upon arrival and as work progressed, he repeatedly objected to my time forecast. I practically begged him to call someone that he would be happier with. But he wanted me to do the work, and paid based on my estimate when the work was less than halfway complete. I worked steadily with a strong sense of urgency, taking no breaks. All work was completed within the 4.5 hour estimate, with only 5 minutes to spare."

I have a shared backyard Cedar fence that was about to fall down because of poor quality construction. I contacted Chuck after seeing his Add on angie's List and we scheduled a time. He showed up we looked the job over and he went right to work and got the fence stable and added additional support for the 20 foot long fence line. Now I don't have to worry about my Beagle getting out of the yard. Chuck was very thorough and did a great job. I would definitely recommend him to others needing a Handyman. I'm sure I'll be using him again for other projects.

Chuck had never installed a door before. He installed the door incorrectly. I had to buy another door at Home Depot and had them install it.

"[Member Name Removed], when we first spoke after your purchase of my Angie's List deal, I explained that I had never installed a prehung door, but that I would not charge you anything if you were not happy with the work. You told me to come ahead. When I arrived you told me you had attempted the installation yourself but were unsuccessful. I proposed to install the door using a "Quick Door Hanger" kit, which relies on the door trim to fully stiffen the installation. After I installed the frame using the kit, you said you wanted to install the trim yourself. You also assured me that you were satisfied with the work I performed. My first indication that this was not so, was reading your review on Angie's List. I emailed Chuck about my mailbox problem. (Mailbox leaning. Post was rotted.) He came over that same afternoon & dug new hole & inserted post & concrete. Came back next morning and finished. Explained everything to me as he went along. Very nice, and friendly, and trustworthy. Very conscientious about his quality of work.

Chuck is very professional and has a lot of experiences. He helped me took the old exhaust fans out and put the big CFM fans in. Comparing to the other person who wanted to tear my ceiling down in order to access the fan, Chuck definitely is a pro. Chuck only cut the same size hole of the fan box to fit the bigger size fans and no ceiling repairing at all! I am so happy to get Chuck here to help.

I felt very comfortable with him in our home. He was able to come over and finish while I wasn't home- completely trustworthy! Very excellent pricing! He explained everything he was doing in detail and why. Will have him do more work soon when we start repairs again on our home.

Mr. Nichols with Checkmark Handyman provided some home repair services for us recently and we are very pleased with his work. He arrived on time just as he promised and was very professional at all times. Mr. Nichols studied our situation and was able to pinpoint exactly what needed to be done. He didn’t just jump in and guess at the problem. He solved our problem regarding household repairs. Mr. Nichols’ rates for work performed are very reasonable. I will certainly be calling him in the future for any household repairs.
