Any project of this size has its challenges, but Brushstrokes did a wonderful job. We loved Josh managing our project. Brushstrokes was patient with our requests and selections. Cabinets by Lois were beautiful. Only big issue was cabinet painting in kitchen had to be redone, but Brushstrokes made it right. I would recommend Brushstrokes!

The crew that did the work are truly master craftsmen. They were prompt, even early, meticulous attention to detail, and strives to get every detail perfect. And they did! They are three of the nicest men I have had the pleasure to meet! They are so proud of the work they did and so easy to work with! I would hire them any time to do anything because they care deeply about to a great job, they do stress the details, and that is why the remodel they did is just breathtaking! It's exactly as I envisioned it. If you are doing a renovation you simply cannot go wrong with Brushstroke's. Cameron Chapman was so easy to work with! Incredible! He was always available and also incredibly nice and accommodating of last minute changes! Seriously you cannot go wrong using this company. One of the tipping points for choosing Brushstrokes was the reasonableness of the quote compared to 4 other quotations.

Brushstrokes has tackled several big projects for us in the recent past, with the latest being a patio cover and outdoor kitchen. We had a vision for what we wanted with the outdoor space and Brushstrokes was super easy to work with and really helped in bringing our vision to a reality. There were a few road bumps along the way with backordered tile and necessary design modifications, but Brushstrokes was able to source similar tile locally and expedite the HOA approval for the new design and space requirements. They are so accommodating and really a pleasure to work with. Cameron and Josh genuinely cared about our vision, as well as, our expectations and everything turned out better than we expected. This has been our experience with them. We have been very happy with all the different Brushstrokes crews that have worked in and on our home and would obviously strongly recommend them to anyone. They have done work for some of our closest friends, as well as our family and all with positive for results. Brushstrokes certainly wasn't our lowest bid, but we can't say enough about how valuable the peace of mind is when hiring them. They honor their word and stand behind their work. We will definitely be using them again for our next remodeling project.

They took one day to do the job.  They were professional, and punctual.  They were good about the clean up after the job.

Excellent work, professional from estimate to finish. Good painting is all about the prep work and prep work was extensive. I will definitely use Brushstrokes in the future and highly recommend to anyone. If you are a hard to please person, this is the company to use, you will have to look long and hard to find a flaw in their work.

As you can see, the Brushstrokes crew had a tremendous amount of work to perform during our renovation.  Even after a couple months in our newly renovated home, we are still extremely happy with the work performed.  The workmanship from ceiling to floor is fantastic.
Most television programs make home remodels look incredibly complex, over budget, and extend longer than the original time frame. Cameron made this process simple, and his crew was fantastic, we greatly appreciate his straightforward approach to business.
All the best to you and your home remodeling endeavors, we hope your experience is very similar to ours with Brushstrokes.

Working with Brushstrokes was great. They were a reasonable price for the quality of work performed. They were also pretty fast for the amount of work that was performed. Very responsive to questions and flexible when the work changed or new requests were made.

Great job, the wall coverage was good, there was no splatters on carpet, driveway etc and the job was done quickly.  They had to work the same day as the movers, so the house was pretty hot, but they were cheerful & efficient.

Wonderful company!
Although our job might not be considered big by some, it was a big deal to us.  We pinch our pennies to hire a company to fix our home.

Cameron and Andy were always professional and courteous.  As was their crew.  The crew worked hard and cleaned up at the end of day.  All debris, like the old siding they replaced, was removed from our property and hauled off by Andy.
They had some rainy days to work around, but still got the job done in a diligent and timely manner.

They all showed respect for our home; hence, for us.  We are hiring them for another job soon.

They respected my house and cleaned up daily before they left for the day . When the job was finished, Andy came over to make sure everything was done as to what I expected !! Amazing customer service !!! Would definitely recommend brushstrokes to anyone needing updates to their house . A++++

The house looks great!  They cleaned up after completely and came back a couple days later to touch up spots that either they found or I saw.  Will use them again for any future painting needed.

We called Cameron in October and told him we wanted the kitchen remodeled and repairs made to the living room and guest bedroom.  Cameron came out the next day and gave us a bid.  He said he could start as soon as he finished a current job.  He gave an approximate date by the end of November or first of December. Cameron called a few weeks later and said that the actual starting date was moved up to November 5, 2012. Everyone showed up on the date and time that was expected. There were no delays for the next month. Brushstrokes set every day for production. There are no days skipped because the electrician had an emergency or the painter was sick. It was a complete and fluid production from beginning to completion. In addition, Cameron gave us many creative suggestions for adding more space in the kitchen, and it turned out beautiful. My wife is ecstatic. By the way, this is the second time we have used Brushstrokes, and it just keeps on getting better!

All work was done on time and in a high quality manner.  I was able to chose the tile, toilet, flooring and granite top for my bathroom
in order to coordinate the colors that I desired.  They even replaced the texture on the ceiling in our master bathroom which I did not
expect.  The shower turned out to be a gem with glass on one side and tile on the rest of the shower.  Before the remodeling, the shower was not even usable but now it is a beautiful shower and is the highlight of our master bedroom.

When Cameron came to give us a bid we told him we needed the work completed within one week because we were going on vacation. They worked through the 4th of July holiday to maintain the schedule.
We could not be more pleased with the end result, especially after we saw how they fixed an unexpected problem with an electrical issue that surfaced with no extra charge.  This company is definitely not driven by project/money but rather customer satisfaction.  That can only come from great leadership and the knowledge that their finished work is their signature.  No wonder the BBB  gives this company a sterling rating.

Brushstrokes completed a master bedroom and bathroom addition to our home in mid-July.  We chose Brushstrokes because a realtor friend of ours highly recommended them.  Our experience with Brushstrokes was very positive from start to finish.  Cameron provided a detailed bid and he broke out several options so we completely understood the nature of the work and cost for each aspect of project.  All of their workers were pleasant, hardworking and professional - and on time which was a nice surprise.  Our new master suite turned out better than we had hoped and the new bathroom, and especially the shower, are absolutely gorgious!   Thanks Cameron for the help choosing our tile and paint colors!  Before starting, our biggest fear was that we would not be able to make the addition blend with our home.  Cameron & Josh assured me that this was not a concern and they weren't kidding.  The exterior matches perfectly from the roof shingles to the brickwork and even the stone work and paint.   These guys went above and beyond what we expected.  Not to mentioned that they finished 10 days ahead of schedule.
We would obviosly highly recommend Brushstrokes to anyone considering home renovations or improvements.

I contacted several potential providers to request estimates for painting the master bedroom and bath and the main guest bedroom which I wanted done prior to having some hardwood flooring installed, all before moving into my newly purchased home. Brushstrokes was very accommodating to my very busy schedule throughout our entire interaction. This was no easy task considering I travel extensively and was only "home" for 8 days the entire month of October, the period when I was attempting to hire a contractor for this work. Brushstrokes' representative, Cameron, was very gracious about working around my availability.
While we were touring the house and talking about the two projects I intended to have done, I showed Cameron the mural in the child's bedroom to get his opinion on whether it could be repaired. He seemed certain it could be so I asked him to go ahead and include the repair in his estimate but to itemize the different tasks in case I felt like I couldn't afford everything at once. Finally, I hadn't originally intended to do anything immediately with the "art wall" thinking the texture and room would have to be completely redone. Cameron assured me the entire project wouldn't be extensive and offered to itemize that work in his estimate as well. I agreed.
When the estimate came back I was very pleasantly surprised at how much less everything cost than I had expected! I hired Brushstrokes immediately to do all the work  included in the estimate and arranged to meet the person that would supervise the work, Andy. Like Cameron, Andy was also gracious about accommodating my very busy schedule. I was leaving the country for two weeks at the end of October and had hired a flooring contractor to install hardwood floors early in November. No worries! Brushstrokes agreed to get the work done in the room getting hardwood floors first to accommodate the scheduled floor installation. While I was gone, Cameron took the time to visit the site to check on progress and send me pictures. I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out! In addition to doing a stellar job on some challenging projects, their professionalism and willingness to accommodate me, their customer, has been unmatched.
In fact, I was so happy with the work done by Brushstrokes that I gave Cameron's contact information to my very dear friends who also recently bought a house, who also wanted some painting done and who had already obtained an absolutely outrageous estimate from another provider. I'm very pleased to say my friends are as thoroughly pleased with Brushstrokes as I have been. Would I use Brushstrokes again? Absolutely! In fact, I have requested another collection of estimates from Brushstrokes, this time involving remodeling. Would I recommend them to others? Again, absolutely! I have already trusted them with my closest friends in and will continue to recommend them to friends and coworkers as opportunity allows.

In the beginning, it seemed to go very well. Around day 2 or 3, I started noticing things that weren't being done correctly. The painters were tapping my existing molly bolts into the wall, covering them with clear silicone and painting over them. Since they were being covered by clear silicone, I had shiny circles all over my walls. I had to continuously point out things that were not completely painted. There was so much going wrong that I had to miss time off work so that I could meet the sales rep and the superintendent at my house to go over everything with them. Prior to hiring Brushtrokes to paint my house, all of my walls and ceilings were white. I had them paint the walls a beige color with two red accent walls. They free-handed everything and did not use tape where the white ceilings intersected with the new colors. There is nothing real noticable where the biege meets the white because the color is so light. However, the result where the red wall meets the white ceiling at the top and where the red wall meets the biege wall in the corners is amateur, at best. The lines are not straight, I still have primer showing that did not get painted over, they got red paint on my ceiling, and the list goes on and on. I was informed by the superintendent (Andy) and the sales rep (Cameron) that because of the "heavy texture" of my walls that it would be "virtually impossible" to paint a straight line. My texture is knock-down flat, commonly referred to as "orange peel texture." This is quite common in homes and hardly qualifies as "heavy." Funny though, how the sales rep didn't tell me the lines would not be straight and well-defined when he came to the house to quote the job, knowing we were leaving the ceilings white. At the start of the job, I paid 25% down with the remaining 75% due upon completion. I was at work when the job was completed. Andy called me and told me he would meet me there when I got home so we could walk through and make sure everything was to my satisfaction and he would collect the final 75% payment. I walked through with Andy and pointed out numerous issues that I had already pointed out previously. Andy had to go to Home Depot to buy a paint brush so that he could touch up the areas that I pointed out to him. He seemed irritated that he had to go to the store to buy supplies and acted like my wife and I were the most nit-picky people that he had ever met in his life. He came back and touched up a few things and decided that the job was complete. I advised him that I was still not happy with the jagged lines and explained to him that I could have done the same job, if not better, but chose to hire him because I thought that I was paying for detail from a professional paint company. He got really irritated with my wife and me and told me that he thought his crew did a great job. So what about the red paint that they got on my white ceiling? Oh yeah, Andy said they could come back out and touch it up and "try to match the color" and if they couldn't then I would just have to "pay them to paint the whole ceiling." Excuse me??? Pay for their screw-up? What a joke. I offered to pay him the remaining balance less $400 which I thought was fair for the quiality of the work that they had done. He told me that was unacceptable and told me if I didn't pay the entire balance he was going to file a lien on my house. The proposal that I received stated that they guarantee my satisfaction and I was not satisifed. I argued this point with Andy and told him that I would pay him when the work was complete. He insisted on receiving the full balance and as opposed to arguing with him (things were getting pretty heated) in front of my 5-year old, I paid him and told him to get out of my house, in a not so nice way. I called the owner of the compeny, Terry Duque (who happens to be Andy's brother) and he came out a few days later to look at it. He too insisted that they could not paint straight lines but said they would come out to try and touch it up as best they could. Well, the next week I was having more work done on my house which took way longer than planned. When that work was finally done, I called Terry and wanted to make arrangements for them to come back out and fix their crappy work. He said he would have Cameron call me on Monday 7/12, which he did. Cameron said they were a little behind due to the weather and he would call me on Monday 7/19 to schedule a time for early this week when they could come out. Here it is, Wednesday 7/21 and I have heard from no one. I'm done with these yahoos. I called another paint company who came out this evening and looked at the job they did. He said there is no reason why they should not have been able to paint straight lines. He said if they had used tape instead of trying to free-hand everything they would have been able to accomplish my goal of straight lines. What consumer pays a nice sum of money for a paint job and doesn't expect straight lines from a PROFESSIONAL painter? Needless to say, the company that came out today will fix it for about $250. I'm going to have them complete the job and then take Brushstrokes to court for the economic damages sustained. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE IN NO WAY PROFESSIONAL AND ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!!!

I appreciated that the Brushstrokes Houston crew was polite, prompt, thorough, quiet, clean, fast (but not so fast as to neglect any detail), and professional in every way. They put up new plastic sheeting everywhere so that dust and paint would not float into the rest of the house or damage the wood flooring. They also put masking tape over the recessed ceiling light fixture and the smoke detector. And they cleaned up after themselves without being asked. The price was fair. I could not have asked for better workmanship or work habits. I did find it helpful to keep track of the hours worked, so that the owner and I could compare notes and make any needed adjustments at payment time. It felt good to trust the men whenever I took my dog out for a walks while they were in my house. I even felt comfortable leaving my door key under the front mat for them to let themselves in when I couldn't be there for their arrival one day.
