It went well, professional.

Mike came on short notice right when he said he would be here. He was extremely polite and took the time to explain how my refrigerator works (I asked) and how I can keep it running longer. Not only did he advise I buy a surge protector to protect the fridge, he also gave me guidance on what kind to buy that was most effective at the lowest cost. He diagnosed the problem quickly and told me he would check in the following day (a Sunday no less) just to make sure everything was still working fine. Overall, I've never been so impressed with a repairman that came to my house before.

I called AMS because my refrigerator was not working after a power outage. The technician was supposed to come over after his current job, but Mike called and said he was delayed and he would come over himself. Mike came to the house to look at my refrigerator and diagnosed the problem and, although there was another costly remedy, he recommended that I empty the fridge and leave it unplugged and open for 24 hours before re-starting it. He also recommended a much more powerful surge protector to prevent the same problems in the future. He did not charge me for the call.

They were professional and upfront about costs before beginning work. I thought the employee they sent was very understanding, and he really tried to resolve my problems without ordering parts unless absolutely necessary. When a part was needed, I was given the option of getting something new or slightly used. I think they went above and beyond, and I appreciate that they are cost conscious.
