"My apologies for the late response to this review. First of all my sincere apologies to Mr. [Member Name Removed] for the communication issues. We try to accommodate and please everyone and, we are not perfect. ill be the first to admit that I don't always get back to everyone immediately. My recollection to Mr. [Member Name Removed] job is that our first assessment (or diagnosis) of the drain issue was that the interior pan may have been cracked. Or that the drain line & air handler were not properly set. Roy did not detect or visibly see a crack in the pan or fitting at that time. His initial response to our technician (Roy) was that they were thinking about selling the home and that he wanted to pursue the least expensive option. and that he did not want to entertain the thought of replacing any equipment. Which is understandable. However, I do recall his attempt to reach me and that I did indeed tell him I was going to call him back. At that time I was experiencing some health issues and was in & out of the hospital. My Angie's List rep can attest to that. I also recollect informing Mr. [Member Name Removed] about that as well. Since that time, after reading Mr. [Member Name Removed] review I attempted to contact him via cell phone. No response. I would like to speak to him about a refund. I even attempted to contact him recently. For the record, our service record & reviews on Angie's List & the Better Business Bureau have been stellar. I can honestly say that to my knowledge in 20 plus years of service we have had no more than three or four jobs that we did not diagnose correctly. None of those were by any means intentional. And no contractor, technician, or company is ever right 100% of the time. Another outstanding job by Air Stat. With limited attic space, technicians carefully removed an existing system and installed new equipment. The new installation makes the equipment more accessible. Problems generated by the old system installation were resolved and the new unit functions very efficiently. Air Stat really did this job right. We look forward to trouble free performance from the new unit.
"$ 125.00 for over an hour in a hot attic is more than reasonable in the have industry. And we resolved the issue. Most companies I know would charge double that and probably try to sell you a new system for thousands more."
"Once again please understand that I am in the field almost all day long. I make my cell phone which is with me almost 24/7 available to every customer and request that they contact me on my cell phone. Everyone else other than a select few do not seem to have an issue with this. If you contact me by cell phone I can schedule your appointment right then and there. We had an appointment set and Ms. Naumann rescheduled at the last minute. I accommodated her at her convenience. Roy was at her home as planned and did exactly as was asked of him. The estimate was given and to his recollection and mine she was in a hurry to get to a 4:30 pm appointment and was going to call me once she was on the road. I never heard back from her. Then she posted a negative review and a comment on the Angie's List message board and reviews list after I had requested to contact me via cell phone. I just don't understand what the issue is with having a "real person to person" conversation over the phone. Especially when "Voice Text" messages get jumbled and the language gets misconstrued if the person does not proof read the text message before hitting the send button. Maybe I need to hire a full time "Social Media" & "Angie's List" response person so that I can increase my overhead and our pricing. I am assuming that our estimate was very reasonable seeing how the other companies that gave estimates were not asked to do the work. There are 24 hours in a day and I work an average of 12 to 14 of them. To all our our many loyal and new customers thanks for your patience and loyalty. I just can't seem to please everyone all the time."
"Wow, here's a bad report from a deal in Nov. 2013. I'm a bit taken back by this. It's unfortunate that we never got together to perform the service you paid for and I'm willing to send you a complete refund if that's what you're wanting. But before you bad mouth us on Angie's List you might try to recollect the following facts. So going back through my notes and on my message board I responded to you three times and called and left a message twice for scheduling and you say I never called you back. You seem to be at fault in communication with me. We have almost a hundred reviews and yours is the 1st real negative review we have ever received that I know of. Every other review is straight A's. The proof is in the message board. I have the proof that I did respond to your request. What is difficult is that as contractors we are expected to be in attendance and communication. In the business world it just doesn't always happen. I do try to respond to every call & message but I'm in the field every day and do not always check my emails on the hour. I can't tell you how many times I have responded to people who never return my calls or messages or that I drive across town to their scheduled appointment and no one is home. That happens at least 15 times a year. In your case it was just a lack of returning my messages. I have the proof on my message board and in my IPAD notes.
