Our experience with Texas Custom Patio was exceptional. From our initial meeting, Ryan was completely receptive to what we wanted to do with our outdoor space and guided us through the process. Once we settled on our specific wants, Ryan took that information and designed the space. We had a follow up meeting in a week (as promised) and it became clear that TCP’s attention to detail was steps above the competition. Once we decided to hire TCP, the project went quickly. They took care of the HOA approval and inspections. As the project went along, small things that we noticed (such as gaps in the masonry) would be fixed before we even mentioned it. The entire team, from the manager, the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, was professional and it shows in the final product. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would gladly recommend this company to any friends, relatives or neighbors. They are the only company we’ll call on for our outdoor projects.
We met with our project manager Ryan, who provided us with detailed drawings and specifications, that incorporated all of our wishes. He worked with us to ensure that his design elements encompassed our vision for an outdoor living space.
All of the permitting and approvals were handled by TCP. Each phase of the project was explained and implemented as expected. All of the contractors were respectful, kind and courteous.
Ryan was always available and stayed in touch. We were in communication via phone calls, personal visits. emails and text. When we needed a change, he made sure it happened to our satisfaction.
TCP was able to provide us with a beautiful addition to our home while remaing within budget.
We will, without reservation, recommend Texas Custom Patios to our friends and neighbors.
We love our new patio.
Thank you.

Rob keep the pricing fair even with all the additions and the outcome was amazing, although Texas Custom Patios may have not been the cheapest but the level of customer experience and level of quality was certain worth it. We have added value to the house and a true outdoor living living area we enjoy daily. As for my experience with Rob and Texas Custom Patios I would certainly recommend them to anyone that is looking for their service.
Originally, my husband and I thought we'd like an expansive wood or composite deck with an attached pergola to replace our ridiculously small 6' x 6' concrete and quot;patio.and quot; When Mark met with us for the first time in January and assessed our backyard, he gave us a reality check about the cost of such a project, as well as the maintenance that would be required in our humid Houston climate. After agreeing that we would not be the best at keeping up with a wood deck, my husband and I decided that perhaps we could just go with a 400 sq. ft. concrete patio with an attached pergola - an element we were and quot;marriedand quot; to because we really wanted to put up a hammock.
After taking lots of pictures and additional measurements, Mark went back to the drawing board and worked up a patio design featuring an Alumawood pergola attached to the house. But as he kept our budget in mind, it became clear that, to get most of what we wanted, we'd need to make a few sacrifices. Mark then suggested that to get the most bang for our buck - and to add significant value to our home - we may want to build a smaller, covered patio tied into the structure of the house and accented with custom touches. So, back to the drawing board he went.
Mark's second design was the winner: a 200 sq. ft. covered patio built to look like it was an original part of our home, featuring partially brick-wrapped columns, a lovely stained beadboard ceiling with fan (purchased by us, installed by TCP), and a stamped and stained concrete floor that easily passes for natural flagstone.
Each crew that came in to complete their part of the project was prompt (even early at times), courteous and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure we were happy with their work. They did quality construction and seemed to take pride in their craft. It was obvious that they had good working relationships with Mark and Texas Custom Patios. Whenever we needed touching up of paint or stain, they were responsive.
The thing I was most happy with is that Mark was at our home on the first day of construction and regularly checked in either by phone or personal visit throughout the three-week project. In prior experiences, I always hated that after a sale was made, it seemed the salesperson would suddenly disappear once the actual project got under way. Mark not only made sure he educated us to help us get to the right design for our money (complete with color, computer-generated blueprints), but he also stood behind his project every step of the way.
About a week or so after our patio was finished, we realized one of the sprinkler pipes under the patio slab started leaking. I emailed Mark to let him know about the problem, and the main office immediately got back to me so they could cut us a check for the repair. (We had our own irrigation guy do the repair.) This response made us even more confident that any issues that might come up under our included warranty with Texas Custom Patios would be readily addressed.
While the nearly $15,000 price tag may seem hefty to some, we felt this was more than fair considering the higher bids we had gotten for a deck and the level of customization we received on our patio. One thing to consider is to plan your project in the slower months (December-February). By doing this we not only beat the spring-fever rush, but we also received a pre-season discount of 5 percent.
Thanks to Mark Hooser and Texas Custom Patios, we finally have a beautiful, functional outdoor space that we can enjoy for many years to come.
