Sun Air Conditioning & Heating

I have been using Sun Air Conditioning for over 15 years. The estimate and the installation were completed on time and within budget. The service after the installation has been excellent. Highly recommend!

There was a leaking problem due to the clogged drain system in our AC. I found out Sun Air Conditioning and Heating on Angies' list because of their high reputation. I called the company on Monday morning. I told them it would be great if they could fix the problem as soon as possible. A lady quickly set up the appointment for us. The tech came to the house the same day. They not only fixed the problem, but also educated how to make the machine works more efficiently. They charge very reasonable fee comparing with another company on Angies' list. This is our first time using this company but I will definitely use them again. Honest, quick response, and nice customer service!

First, I'm a moron. I just had a dirty filter. Totally my fault. So I paid a service charge to have him tell me to change my filter. But, they didn't honor the $15 coupon. The guy said it isn't valid on weekends. But the coupon doesn't say that. So he should have honored it. And $150 for the service charge seems high to me. But it was weekend. But, he did come quickly and found the problem quickly, so I can't complain about the work. He did the work. He also checked my freon. He said it was slightly low, but not enough to warrent adding any at this time.

Company was very responsive via the Angie’s list app and phone. Was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of calling. Slight miscommunication regarding service schedule setup but they responded quickly and dispatched the techs who arrived slightly later than the quoted service window. Both technicians were professional and helpful during the install.

The service was great.

AC Mechanic , RIchard , took the time to correctly balance the air flow to all the rooms on both AC units. very thorough check-out of the units and did not find any issues with the equipment. Have signed a contract with Sun AC to return for heater check-out when it is time.

We absolutely love the service that Sun Air provides. They are professional and punctual. Someone is always available to answers our questions. We will continue to use Sun's services. My parents have used Sun since the 1980s and have always had good things to say about them as well.

Work was performed quickly. Did not try to upsell more services. He did point out a more serious problem with the compressor that will eventually fail, but will require a replacement.

They are very reasonable. They have just been a pleasure to work with and you do not feel like they are screwing you over. Their price has been very reasonable compared to other firms.

They did not charge me because they have been out on the same problem before. We had an upstairs unit that was flipping on and off. It would cool for a little while and then just blow hot air. It had to do with a valve. When they came out, we have them come out twice a year to do the maintenance inspection as a preventative measure. They came out as usual and checked the units were running. I called him a week later and said it is not working. He came back out and fixed it, then a couple of months later, it started doing the same thing. He came back out and routed a line, went over the whole unit and still did not charge me. They just go above and beyond with customer service. I would recommend them. He will sit down and explain things to me in a manner that I can understand.

Terrible, the only intent was to sell me a new AC System. He replace the capacitor and said the system was running 3.7 amps over the compressor maximum and the only way to fix that was a new system. It worked for only about an hour, came back and Sergio told me it was working fine and said maybe the fan was going out just use a long screwdriver to get it started again. He left and it worked for another hour and went out. I texted him that now the fan was just buzzing and I needed a new fan quote. He told me he would be back with me in 30 minutes. He never got back with me. I called another company and the capacitor that he put in was the wrong one and could be responsible for the fan blowing. They inspected and replaced the fan. Checked the amps and it was running 17.6 on one side and 15.6 on the other side which is below the 18.3 maximum for the compressor but still unbalanced. They put the proper capacitor in and it was running 15.6 both sides. They told me I showed some signs of wear but I could probably get 2-3 more years out of the system and by that time the Freon could change again. It has been running just fine for 2 weeks now. Additionally they did not honor the Angie's list coupon. Told me it was included in the price. Would not recommend this company as they do not know how to fix air conditioning systems they only want to replace them.

They are always good, they have nice men that come out. They all do a good job. The price is good. It is $72 for the checks.

He’s my main man. I know the owner personally. I met him at a party actually. That was a nice way to meet him. They said it would take 4 hours, but he had enough men there, I think it was done a little bit sooner. I think he had 3 men upstairs and he was here, so that makes 4. I had to leave, so he explained it to my husband. What stuck out that I liked was they did it themselves and they didn’t contract it out. I think the warranty comes from Trane and different parts have different warranties and one part is good till 2020. I have used them for the 6 years I’ve lived here. I call them as we go between seasons to make sure the furnace is working and the air conditioner is working.

They come out every 6 months to change the filters.

I highly recommend them. I have a 2,000-sq. ft. house and sometimes my bills are like $50-$75 a month. It’s really nice and they come about every 6 months to put in new filters.

They gave me a Senior Discount. Some are a little less; some are a little more, but I feel confident with them. I've used them for the last several years. Before that I feel like some contractors were taking advantage of me and I don't feel that way with them. You get what you pay for. They always come when they say they are coming. They usually come within a day or two after I called. I feel like I can trust them. They are honest. I don't think they can make any improvements. They aren't pushy and trying to sell you things. They just try to maintain the air and the furnace.

The work started when promised and was finished within schedule. The team was organised and clean.

Work was promptly done with no problems.
