Well, being that I have been with them probably about fifteen, sixteen years, we’ve used them for all of our dogs. So again, high remarks all the way. All the doctors are great over there.

We took him to Stafford Oaks Veterinary Hospital, where everyone was professional and compassionate, especially Chris, who carried Cody in (all 92 pounds of him) as gentle as a little baby. Dr, Hammer saw Cody right away, did x rays and gave him medication for his pain. The diagnosis was quick and effective, and Dr Hammer made the referral to the doctors who would take care of Cody. Even though his cancer was terminal, my family will always appreciate the kindness shown by the staff and R. Hammer. I strongly recommend Stafford Oaks as a place where the staff will care about your pet and provide top-level treatment.

First time at this vet (just moved to Sugar Land a month ago) and it went well. Facilities were clean, staff and vet were friendly and helpful. One thing I think is strange is that they take your pet out of the exam room and to the back to take blodd and administer shots. I would prefer to be present but my (little and nervous) dog seemed fine when they brought her back and the vet called personally the next day to make sure she was doing fine and experiencing no side effects from her vaccines. I thought that was a nice touch.

The experience is good. They relate well to the dog, I have been with them for a long time, and they are real friendly, they care about the animals, and they respect the fact that they are like a family member to you and that you are very attached to it. I havent had any problems with them.

Dr. Zachary Clark of Stafford Oaks saw my thirteen year old dog yesterday who had some trouble walking and standing yesterday. This was all very sudden as last week I have pictures of him running and jumping for treats. I took my dog to see Dr. Clark, as Dr. Brady was not in that day. Dr. Clark, after a minimal examination, decided that my dog had arthritis. As my dog is thirteen years old, this was not news to me, however, when asked if arthritis could be the cause of such a fast decline in my dog's muscle tone, energy, appetite, etc., Dr. Clark said it was and quot;seriousand quot; arthritis. Serious indeed, as my dog indeed did have arthritis, however, this was NOT what had caused the rapid decline in my dog's health. After coming back to Stafford Oaks today and seeing Dr. Putska, I learned that what actually was happening to my dog was a large tumor that was bleeding out, which is what had caused the neurological problems relating to my dog's inability to walk or stand. I understand that discovering that my dog had cancer a day earlier would not have changed the outcome (my dog had to be put down), but it would have saved my dog a day of suffering with severe internal bleeding, extreme pain in his legs, inability to empty his bladder resulting in strong discomfort, among a myriad of other things. I understand people make mistakes, but this is not the first time a vet at Stafford Oaks has misdiagnosed one of my dogs. Three years ago, Dr. Stanley, who is no longer at Stafford Oaks, said that my 4 year old dog had arthritis when she really had hemolytic anemia. Just like with what happened today, a doctor at Stafford Oaks said one of my dogs had arthritis and presercibes multiple expensive medications, only for us to come back the next day to receive the correct diagnosis from a properly trained doctor. Luckily, in this case, my younger dog was able to be saved at the expense of $8,000 at Gulf Coast Vet Hospital. Please note that I did not mention that ANY staff or doctor at Stafford Oaks apologized for these grave errors, because no one did. They are aware of the mistake they made 3 years ago, but have clearly not learned. The disrespect and utter disregard that Stafford Oaks employees have for their customers is evident as they not once have apologized or offered a refund for the ridiculous misdiagnosises.

The young veterinarian was very knowledgeable with a fantastic and quot;bed side mannerand quot; with us and our pet. Everyone at Stafford Oaks was extremely nice and friendly. We will be taking our dog there from now on.

They have a wealth of knowledge. They have veterinarians that have been there for 20 to 30 years. They always call to check in after your appointment to see how your pet is doing. They actually saved our dog's life when she was a puppy and we are using them ever since.

They are extremely good and very caring. After the visit my dog would not walk. I took her back and they gave her a shot and some pain medicine. She sees them every three months for treatment. I don't know if something happened on the last visit but she has not been right since then. They said nothing happened to her while she was there.

We saw Dr. Stanley at Stafford Oaks. This was our second appointment with him, and we were as pleased as the first time. He is a great vet - spends lots of time to answer our questions and explains everything in depth. Our first visit was free (due to a coupon) and we were pleased to find that the services we got at our second visit (e.g., cat vaccinations) were cheaper than at our previous vet's office. He also made sure not to charge us for services we did not receive that usually came with the standard exam, and he made sure to get our permission before adding any procedures to our bill. I've seen a lot of vets in my day, and would definitely recommend him. He was very gentle with our kitty, and genuinely seemed to care.

I had taken Sweetums (a stray tabby who adopted me 16 years ago) to Stafford Oaks previously for dehydration related to kidney problems. Sadly, however, I knew in my heart this would be her final visit. When the vet examined her, she told me the kidney disease had taken its toll. Since I do not believe in prolonging suffering for animals, I asked if putting her to sleep would be the best option. Although the vet told me treatment might extend her life by (at most) a few months, she explained Sweetums had developed other symptoms including an irregular heartbeat. Given this, we both agreed that now would be the best time to end her pain. Facing this moment is the worst part of having a pet (especially one who has loved you for 16 years). When I explained I wanted Sweetums to be put to rest in a dignified manner, the vet suggested cremation with her ashes to be scattered in a dedicated tree farm and asked if I wanted to hold Sweetums while the injection was administered. Although painful, the vet did everything she could to console me and make this moment as bearable as possible. I admired her professionalism at this difficult time. One week later, I arrived home and checked the mail. In it I found a hand-addressed greeting card. When I opened it, it was a sympathy card personally signed by all the doctors and staff members at Satfford Oaks. Although this may sound crazy, I was finally able to cry and let my feelings out when I read the card. Knowing someone else besides myself cared about Sweetums made be happy and helped me achieve a sense of closure I had been putting off. I have other cats and plan on visiting Stafford Oaks whenever medical needs arise. They're not only good at medical treatment; they're also caring and sympathetic when treatment is no longer an option.

I have a dog that has chronic IBD. In 2004 she ate 6 lbs. of cat food and almost died. That dog is now 11 years old and has gray hair! Dr. Brady and his fellow veterinarians saved "my little girl." They all worked very hard and called specialists at Texas Aand M to see if there was anything else they could do. The staff treated me like I was family and let me see her after work -- sometimes after closing. The vets are caring; they have an excellent staff of vet techs; and the groomer is great. This clinic is above reproach. Please use them -- your 4-legged children will be in excellent care.
