Overall, it went horribly, Joe Ruiz should not be in the contracting business. He took our money for materials and said he was going to start the work on December 7, 2016. He never showed up and we have not seen him again. We have been back and forth with him, over the phone, on when he?ll start the work. He keeps leading us on and never showing up. When it was clear that he was not going to start the work, we asked for our money back. He said he agreed to give our money back, even lying several times that he was sending someone with a check. But it has almost been two months since we have been dealing with his fraudulent business practices and we have yet to see a check. He screens our calls only answering when we call from a different number. As of today, 1/30/17 we have not seen or heard from him and have not received our money back. We are now forced to take him to small claims court.
