HOUSTON GARDEN CENTERS

Customer service was horrible.  The first two employees literally turned around and walked away when they saw me coming.  I finally caught one who made the mistake of picking up a potted shrub while I was in range.  She didn't speak English - I realize we live in south Texas and not everyone knows English well, but the owner should have at least some employees who can speak English.
She knew nothing about plant food or herbicide and didn't care that she knew nothing.  Clearly she was put out that I had interrupted her most important work.  They didn't know the difference between manganese sulfate and magnesium sulfate.  They recommended a herbicide that clearly said not to use near roses despite my asking for that.  Even when I pointed that out, they said it didn't make a difference - apparently they just wanted to make a sale or didn't understand what I said.  I bought a sprayer attachment that I needed and vowed NEVER to come back.

I LOVE TO WORK IN MY YARD. MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BUY PLANTS IS HOUSTON GARDEN CENTER. EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES SPEAK VERY LITTLE ENGLISH, THEY ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE CENTER IS ALWAYS WELL STOCKED AND WELL-KEPT AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE CONSTANTLY TENDING THE FLOWERS AND PLANTS.
