They did a good job and they sent me pictures. The fence looked good and the price wasn't cheap. It well all done well. I just think there is a lot of transition in the industry. I called the representative and he was gone and the other guy was gone and I finally got this other fellow and he seemed pretty on top of things and he was my sales person. He did a good job and he was very responsive. They did everything top notch and they used good materials. If you want good quality work you can use them.

We had originally wanted natural finish on the gates. After installation, we decided we wanted the gates painted. They returned and painted the gates for a less expensive price than expected.
One bonus to using Houston Fence is that they are completely covered by Worker's Comp insurances which is required by our Home Owner's Association. It is difficult to find companies that meet all the HOA requirements.

They were not the cheapest bid, but they also weren't the most expensive. What made me choose them was their long history in Houston. I wanted someone with some experience.
The quote process went smoothly. My contact (Roman) understood what I wanted in a fence, and had several pictures to show me a representation of what would be installed. He had to come out twice, as I changed the scope of construction after the first quote.
The fence is very well constructed. There's no wobble or lean, and the yard has a very pleasant cedar smell now. My one complaint is that the gate they constructed seemed a bit rough in comparison to the quality of the fence. The locking mechanism is secure, and the gate is level and swings freely. However, the wood was very rough and unfinished, and there's a "block" instead of an actual handle for pulling the gate closed. A minor inconvenience, considering the cost.

The workers tore down our old wood fence and build a new one. They did all the work in one day including cleaning up.
They improved the strength of the fence to improve its durability.

It worked out very well. I feel very safe on it. I had trouble with some of the tickets and I called them, told them that I have concerns so they marked them and said they will be out to replaced them and that exactly what happened.

They've done work for us twice and both were fine. They are not the least expensive and surely not the most but they've done best work we've seen so far. They were great.

David gave us a rough estimate over the phone based on our measurements and then came out and inspected the job site. There were some overgrown bushes in the fence and offered to include taking those out as part of our contract so the final price was just slightly higher, only because of that.
He worked with us to get the building permit from Spring Valley providing the necessary documentation and talking with the building inspector. Our old fence was not on the correct property line but we had a copy of the survey from our new neighbors and David and the inspector verified where the fence should be.
David contacted us a few days before the crew arrived so we could make arrangements for our dog to be inside (the reason we needed a tall wooden fence). The crew arrived on the day scheduled, took out the old fence, prepared the new site and got to work. They worked steadily through the day, did not leave any gaps under the fence for our dog to get out, cleaned up and took all the debris. The fence looks really nice and I am confident that it is really well built and, based on our other neighbor's fence built by Houston Fence twenty years ago, will last a long time. Will definitely recommend to others.

We had a lot of issues. #1, salesman quoted incorrect installation date. #2 salesman lost job, then new salesman had no clue what was going on. #3 customer service rep, Missy was amazing #4, now find out that they didn't clean up after themselves and there are gaps in the fence #5, trying to reach Missy, but now she is gone. #6, still trying to get fence completed properly and the mess cleaned up.

It worked out all right. The salesman was very nice and I liked him a lot. He was very attentive and good. We were having other work done to our driveway and it was in the middle of the winter and holidays. It ended up taking them three months to complete the work. When the installed the posts into the driveway, they were too far off the ground. My landscaper had to dig down the sides and they then reinstalled the posts. I was a little aggravated because they did draw the payment from my credit card before the work was finished. One gate did not latch properly and they did come out without any trouble and repair it. After everything was completed, I am pleased with the job.

It took about a week for Houston Fence to call back. But i called four other companies also and only one other company returned my call. Houston Fence was the only company that actually came to my house to look at the job and give me a written estimate. The other company wanted me to measure the fence that I wanted to replace and they would give me an estimate based on that.

Scheduling service and obtaining a good estimate on when they might arrive was a nightmare. After probably 5 or 6 calls, I was told they would appear first thing the next morning, around 9 am. Since I was taking off work, I started calling around 9:30 to find out when they might show up. They promised to return my calls and give me specific information. That never happened that morning. Finally someone showed up as I was leaving for work, around 11:15. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, in direct contrast to their office. For my purposes, it was too little too late.
