We ordered the chairs on January 14th, 2009 and after waiting 6 weeks and still not receiving our chairs, we had a member of our team follow-up to check on the status of the order. It was extremely difficult to get a response via phone or e-mail. After several weeks of what felt like thin excuses as to why our chairs had not been received - (example: "Well, some customers have been waiting since August" or "We're re-negotiating the deal with our shipping company") - we finally had to threaten to cancel our order to get a response that our chairs were going to be shipped. After 9 weeks and 1 day, we got the chairs today, and this is the communication that I just sent to the President of the company after opening the boxes: "Richard- We just received the three chairs that we ordered on January 14th, 2009. Thus far these are some of the problems we have encountered: ? One of the chairs has major damage to the weld on the lower left such that the arm cannot even be installed into the socket ? All chairs are missing the three piece Telescopic Cover ? The first chair we assembled starts at ~18? and will not go higher than just below 20.75?. Two of us are quite tall and the missing extra inches make a difference (NOTE to Angie's List User - range supposed to be 17.5"-22.5") ? All chairs are missing the articulating gel arms you and I spoke about over the phone. At the time we spoke, you mentioned that the gel arms were on backorder but that once the production process began you would contact us to determine our arm selection. In addition, the standard Legends-MVP chair is shown to come with eXtreme arms as pictured below. Not only do we not have the articulating arms we discussed but the arms that we received do not appear to be the ones that are supposed to come standard with the chair ? We were informed that one chair would arrive without an arm and that the item would be shipped separately. As one of our chairs is only capable of one arm being installed, I recommend that you go ahead and cancel the order for the additional arm. We will be returning the damaged chair and do not feel that we should have to pay for the shipping to do so Richard, when we spoke back in January I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks from order to delivery. We set a follow-up 6 weeks out and after still not receiving our chairs, (as I?m sure you?re aware), we had our assistant call regularly to follow-up. It has now been 9 weeks + 1 day since our order and I must admit that after our wait it is extremely disappointing to encounter the above issues. At this point, as our experience has not been a good one and as our order is damaged and incorrect, we intend to return the chairs for a full refund." I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VENDOR! They seem to have quite a few internal and organizationl issues. We have wasted so much time dealing with them that we would probably have been better off to go with one of the more expensive sources we originally quoted.
Description of Work: We needed several ergonomic desk chairs for our office and after pricing several expensive stores we found Champion Seating online. We saw that we could custom design office chairs that were advertised as comparable to the ones we had seen in the more expensive stores. The website is TERRIBLE to navigate and after contacting their sales department, heard from the Pres. directly. We placed our order and were told to expect the chairs in 4-6 weeks.
