Artemis Dog Training and Boarding

Two week boot camp for our friendly but overly excited pupper. He now obeys commands; comes when called, does not nip when playing, etc. Overall much calmer and easier to deal with.

Darlene keep my dog for two weeks with the train and board program, she trained both the dog and myself. I now feel like i have the tools I need to continue training and be the strong leader my strong will dog needed.

Darlene is very professional and knew how to handle my super anxious foster dog, Paisley. She taught me what to do to help her relax. The morning Darlene came over I couldn't have Paisley around the cats because she wanted to chase them and I didn't want her to hurt the cats. Darlene taught me how to get Paisley to stay on a down command, and give correction if she got up so that Paisley could learn to relax while around the cats. I worked with Paisley off and on all day on her training and by that evening Paisley was finally relaxing when the cats were in the room with her. She was still interested in them but was no longer lunging and chasing them. Paisley was also able to learn to be calm and not anxious. I'd highly recommend Darlene.

After only 7 days she walks calmly at my side during walks. She is much more in control around other animals. She utilizes "place" and even learned a new trick! Cute crawl. I am extremely impressed with the difference in the behavior of my dog!

It?s been almost a month since I adopted Kip from a local rescue. I remember seeing Kip for the first time at the adoption event and I immediately knew he was my dog. 

Kip had been so neglected for a long time that he did not know how to interact with other dogs let alone know how to walk on a leash properly. He kept lunging towards every one and every dog on our walks. After a short while, he started to develop an aggression towards other dogs in the park. 

I didn?t know how to help him, so I reached out to the rescue and they recommended that I call Darlene at Artemis Dog Training. Kip was enrolled into the program the same day I called. 

While Kip was going through rehabilitation, I was learning and studying the videos Darlene sent me to watch, so I can be a better leader for him. 

We still train and practice commands every day. Darlene also takes the time to check-in on us to make sure we?re still doing well. I can?t imagine what Kip would have been like without Artemis Dog Training. Darlene helped transform Kip into a better dog and I can?t thank her enough.

We have a completely different dog. She is easier to walk. We have been able to introduce other dogs and people without any aggression. She listens to sit, down, place without any fighting. She is even comfortable with her kennel and will go there on her own!

It's been almost a month since his two weeks of boarding and training; we now go on walks every day and pet stores and Home Depot twice a week. There has been no leash pulling or lunging at people. It is so easy that even our 10 year old can walk our 65lbs dog without any difficulty. He is no longer barking and lunging at guests, listens to commands. Darlene was excellent in follow ups and during his stay with her, she sent us an every day update and training videos. Even after he came back, she would check up on us from time to time and came home once to brush up on training. Her love for dogs and caring attitude makes her the best trainer.
