Petty's Tree Service

They showed up when they said they would but did not bring any ice or water to drink and expected us to go to town, buy ice, and spend the day brewing gallons of iced tea for them, which we did.  They then requested tuna salad for lunch.  When we didn't provide lunch they asked later for dinner.  A few boards on the deck were damaged the first day but we overlooked them.  They tried to leave some large logs on the deck overnight but it was clear they were too heavy to stay there.  The crew was visibly unhappy that we asked them to remove the logs.  They then asked for the entire quoted amount for the job when only half was done.  I gave them half.
The next day they tried to get out of removing the rest of the tree.  It would have been unsightly and was not what they had originally agree to.  I made sure they finished cutting the tree down to the agreed-upon height.  In the process they broke several more boards in the deck.  I also asked them to trim the two trees we had previously discussed.  They were unhappy to be asked and stripped the bark on both trees while removing branches.  They left sawdust and debris all over the roof and didn't clean the gutters as promised. 
I agreed to pay in full if they brought enough lumber to fix the deck.  I offered to fix it on my own time.  They wanted paid for the entire job but I held some back.  They promised to return with the lumber but were never seen or heard from again.
The work was OK, but not great.  They damaged my property, were very unprofessional and difficult to work with.  I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

Mr. Petty came to my house on a Friday to give me an estimate on the work to be done. I was pleasantly surprised that his bid was less than I had expected to pay so I gave Petty's Tree Service the job. Mr. Petty and his 3 man crew showed up the very next day and worked from 10am straight through till 8pm and I never saw them take a break longer than 15 minutes. It was easy to tell that this was an experienced crew, they worked as team, at a good pace, and most importantly...SAFELY. I could not have been more pleased with the outcome, my yard looks 100% better than it did before they started and they did an excellent job of cleaning up the debris and hauling it off. I would highly recommend Petty's Tree Service to anyone.
