The two gentlemen who took care of moving all of my stuff we're very personable and extremely professional! I have my move completely finished, out and in, within three hours. I was amazed at the amount of time and care they gave to merchandise that was more fragile. It was wonderful that I literally had not one item broken or scratched. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck!!

Two of them just complained the whole time- they were sick, they were too old. They asked me several times for cold medicine, bottles of water, etc. One that was sick mentioned several times that he wasn't getting much done because he felt so bad and I complained to the driver that I was frustrated by this when I was paying hourly. They never re-assembled our table, just left it on the floor. We found out this morning when we went to our old house that when they removed the refrigerator, something was left open and water was everywhere, damaging the baseboards all around. The experience was awful. The third guy was great and honestly seemed to do most of the work. I'll never use this company again. Between them being late and the time they spent complaining, they wasted about $400 of my money.

"[Member Name Removed],   Thank you for taking time to speak to us over the phone. We are so sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this move or live up to our own standards of excellence.  We have completed a thorough investigation of the matter.  During the investigation one employee resigned and after the completion of the investigation the primary individual responsible for the problem was let go from our company.  We recognized Derrick for his hard work on your move and his efforts to compensate for the shortfalls of his teammate. Derrick continues to be a productive and effective member of our team. If you have any further concerns, please call our office at 281-832-5200 and a manager would be happy to speak with you.   Thank you"

It did not go well at all. I will only highlight the major issues below and skip other minor ones.
1. When I called to hire them the only specific item I made them aware of that would take great care was the Big Green Egg bbq pit. I spoke with Johnathan Dennis who assured me they had a specific process to move these heavy items and it would be taken care of. The process was to show up a day early to crate up the Big Green Egg BBQ pit. They did not show up to do this, as they said would and their policy requires.
On the day of the move, Nov. 21st, 2014, the team leader of the moving team had a specific waiver to sign which he said was required when moving a Big Green Egg WHICH I DID NOT SIGN since they did not bother to crate it up. At any rate, he told me he had moved about 15 of these and not to worry. When moving, two other members of the team dropped it and broke it into many pieces (it is ceramic). See pics.
I made a claim for the cost of the bbq pit at 999.99 on December 3rd, 2014. I did not hear anything from them so I followed up with Stephanie Hagen by email every so often who kept assuring me they would get back to me soon. On January 19th they sent me a check for 120.00 based on .60 cents a pound and if I have any questions to let them know in writing. No regard for them not following their own process, no regard for the waiver not being signed and very poor communication overall.
2. They dropped the wooden 8 foot dining room table directly onto the driveway when one guy tried to move it. It is damaged on the corner as well. I did not bother to include in a damage claim so shame on me but this was a totally avoidable mistake. The team leader looked at his guy and ran out to help him once he noticed he was trying to move it along.
3. I noticed later they ran over a permanent light fixture I had in my lawn. I didn't immediately notice as it was totally submerged in my lawn beneath their tire track. This was also a new home to me and I wasn't familiar with all the lights I have.

"Good morning, [Member Name], Jonathan is no longer with our company and I would like to apologize for the miscommunication that occurred at the time your move was booked. While it is correct that we require certain items to be crated in order to move them, we do not crate items ourselves. As it is not a service that we offer, items need to be crated by a third party. I see that your claim was settled on December 3rd, please contact our Claims Manager, Stephanie, for copies of your settlement claim at 281-419-5200. We give customers 90 days to let us know if something was damaged so that we can make things right. Unfortunately, if all items are not listed on the claim then we have no way of knowing that there were additional damages. Thank you for your time and we will use your feedback to improve our service. Regards, Claudia Ziara"

It took this team 6 1/4 hours to move 2 small desk, 1 med desk, 1 sectional desk, 4 chairs, 2 small book cases, 2 small shredders, 1 monitor, and maybe a couple of other very small items.  It took them forever to figure out how to get the sectional desk down the stairs - didn't have any tools with them - had to wait for supervisor to arrive with tools.  I finally dug around in my garage and found an electric drill they could use......  Finally got everything loaded in the truck and to the new place (6 miles down the road).  It took them FOREVER to unload.  I've never seen any movers move as slow as these guys. Then they could not figure out how to put the sectional desk back together......  They needed supervision in a bad way!!!  No one in the group seem to be a thinker to put it all together.  SLOW - Slow - slow slow - would be the best I could describe them. The guys were actually very polite, friendly and seem to want to do a good job, they just were in bad need of some additional training and maybe a supervisor to help them out.  During the course of the move the following was damaged:  Small desk - side completely ripped off,   Large sectional desk - was not put back together properly, most of the brackets were busted or bent, half the screws were not in.  The wall in my stair case has three good size holes in it, and the stripping where the carpet on my stairs meets the wood floor was ripped off.  I had to make several calls before I could get anyone to respond to me at all.  There doesn't seem to be any care on the owners part that any of this happened.  I have yet to hear from them.  I finally got to speak with a supervisor and he finally came out to look at the desk.  Wasn't real helpful on what would take place or what would be done.  He was suppose to send me an e-mail that day on status of everything - have yet to hear and that was 3 days ago.  My staff and I moved all the boxes, monitors, computers, printers, etc which was 4 vehicle loads - thank goodness or we would have been here until midnight and my bill would have been $1,000.00 or more.  I have no clue if my walls will be fixed or the desk replaced, etc.  Sad.  It could have been so different if the guys had just had more training and a little supervision.  Two Men did deduct 1 1/2 hours from the total time for the time we spent sitting and waiting for a supervisor to show with a tool kit.  They also deducted 20 minutes for them arriving late that morning.  My bill was suppose to be around $400.00 which would have included all the things my team moved personally but instead my bill was $600.00 for half the original list of items the estimate was based on.  Not a good feeling for this company.

"Dear [member removed name], We appreciate your time in giving us feedback. We are always working to improve our customer service and your feedback is valued. We are sorry that you had a negative experience and apologize if there was any miscommunication on our part. Upon investigating further, our records show that the estimated duration of the move, which you were given prior to the move, was between 3.25 – 5.25 hours. Our records show that the move took a total of 5 hours, which falls within the estimate. We strive to provide quality service and each of our employees goes through numerous hours of training. Unfortunately, accidents do happen and sometimes items are damaged. We understand that this is stressful for our customers and thus we have a process to handle damage claims. As one of our managers was on site, he personally completed the Statement of Claim form, per our company policy and per the state of Texas. Our Claims Manager is handling the claim and has been in contact with you via email. Please continue to work with us as we work diligently to resolve the claim. Regards, Claudia Two Men and a Truck"

I was highly impressed from the beginning. I was given a very professional estimate I called back to schedule the date, I was then called the day before the scheduled move date to confirm everything would go as planned.  2 trucks and 5 guys showed up on time the day of the move. The guys worked very hard and quickly. They were very careful with all of my furniture. I was never concerned that something would get broke. They took extra care in wrapping everything and communicating with me. They even helped move some boxes from the garage of new house inside to make more room in the garage. The guys took a very short lunch and were back to work. All of the workers were nice, clean guys, and I could understand them clearly!!! I had several beds that had to be taken apart and put back together. My daughters bed has a play house on top and is very complicated. Everything was carefully disassembled and reassembled correctly. In all the move took around 7 hours. I would definitely use them again or refer them to others.

The office staff were very helpful and provided me with an estimate quickly. They followed up with useful tips to help me get ready for the move.  On the day the team arrived as scheduled and made quick work of the job. They cheerfully agreed to drop of some furniture items en ropute and then took the rest to the storage facility. They were very efficient in unpacking the truck and making good use of the space in the locker. All the furniture was wrapped to prevent marks and carried with care. Final bill was at lower end of the estimate. I would happily use this company again.

They were very gentlemanly, they suggested the best ways to load and unload. They even helped pack some of the last minute items.  They were very cheerful even when they had to go to a storage area and rearrange the packing of the truck.  It was the best of all the moving experiences in my life.
I did have a lot of the stuff already thrown out or in the storage area so they had room to move the furniture around.  I also had already planned where I wanted things in the new apartment, so they didn't have to fuss any.
I am happy to give them an Excellent rating in everything.

There were some minor damages and they did not bring enough men or trucks, which made it take much longer than expected. I ended up being charged twice the estimate because of it, but when I talked to the owner and he made it right and refunded half of my money, which brought it back to the original estimate.

The office staff was very helpful in estimating my move room by room.  They were also very accomodating when I had to change moving dates.  The movers arrived on time, worked very hard and efficiently. They were also very accomodating when arranging furniture where I wanted it.  It started to rain during the move and the movers were very consciencious to make sure every piece and box remained dry.  I forgot to call to cancel the flat screen plasma TV container and they were very kind to waive that extra fee.

Pro: they fixed estimate price early on and stuck with it, even reducing price after packing was completed quicker than expected.
Very professional and competent staff during packing and next day move (with one exception noted in cons)
I wanted to use a smaller company to ensure my belongings got to Memphis when I did. The big truck companies usually pack a truck and either repack your stuff into a bigger over the road moving truck at their warehouse or pack you directly into a huge otr truck and wait to fill it. By law movers have 21 days to get your belongings to destination. I had to start work Monday, could not risk long delay for my belongings.
Two Men & A truck employees move the truck they pack, same personnel who load you unload at destination. My guys departed for Memphis when they left my house. They arrived day after I did.
Dealing with my sales agent was professional and easy. She answered the phone whenever I called even if she had no news about my only issue with this company.

Con: my only gripe with this company is that my sales agent advised during our initial over the phone quote that there may not be enough room for all my stuff in their 26ft truck. She advised an in person visit by another staff member would confirm. Based on this info I started selling some stuff on Craigs List and planned on taking less. Both the gentleman who visited prior to the move and the lead driver on the truck on moving day repeatedly assured me everything would fit.
Long story short it did not. My issue is if we had been told even on moving day everything would not fit my son and I could have rented a U Haul, Ryder, Penske whatever and driven my surplus stuff to Memphis towing one of our vehicles. At 4.00pm when the driver eventually admitted all the stuff would not fit it was late Saturday.

Loading of 2 trucks would have required different load plan however I am sure the moving guys would have helped load both trucks if we had started them in the morning, by late Saturday they were obviously tired and in no mood to wait while we rented a truck  and then asked them to help load what was left.

I expressed my concerns, company promised to do better next time and include better planning for this eventuality. I declined to ask for any compensation although I expected a gesture if only $ for the stuff left behind. Got nothing. Would i use them again? If I had to move fast, start work the Monday after the weekend we moved and had a better idea of truck capacity yes. Am I surprised and disappointed aside from a vague promise offering to move my missed belongings in a regular pick up truck 3 months after the move date space permitting that I got nothing yes. I rented my house in Houston a couple of weeks after moving so my stuff was thrown away.

They are a good company, they are honest and fair, my advice just be absolutely sure your stuff will fit in one of their small trucks.

The person who answered the phone in their office quoted me a price based upon the estimated time it would take to complete the job.  They arrived on time and finished early so it ended up costing me much less than anticipated.  The movers were very courteous and professional.  They were careful with my furniture, too.

The process from the initial phone call to the very last box unloaded was outstanding! This particular location was closer to where we were going (about 2 hrs away) so we used their office---and I am SO glad we did. Everything was professional, prompt (they arrived on  time), done in a courteous/careful manner, and they worked non-stop until it was done. WHen the estimate ended up being a few hundred dollars less (because it didn't take them as long as first anticipated), they were the first to say it'd be less than originally planned. WHat refreshing honesty! The company called as a follow-up post move to verify it all went to our liking, and we received a comment/survey email as well. They sincere concern for satisfaction is a testament that they really are concerned about their company's work, ethics and overall service level. I can't recommed this location enough.

They were on time and efficient.  They did not waste time while "on the clock", friendly and helpful.   The "lead driver" was exceptionally knowledgeable nothing was damaged in transit except a few dishes that broke, but we packed everything ourselves they just moved it.    I highly recommend their services, I would use them again.

They showed up 90 minutes late- even though they confirmed arrival time in advance by both email and phone call.  The mover's actual work order showed that the move time was scheduled at the time they showed up- so the problem was with scheduler. When i called and asked to speak to the supervisor -  there was no follow up or call back.  In addition- there is a dupilcate billing that i have to spend timecorrecting. Tthe movers collected a check when they finished move  AND  the office processed my credit card as well
Response from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK
"We sincerely apologize for doubling the payment, we had a miscommunication amongst our team and we feel terrible for the inconvenience. With regards to the arrival time, due to the nature of our business we cannot guarantee arrival times. We do our best to communicate that we have a 2 hour Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) window. I apologize if we failed to verbally communicate this, but we do include that information in our pre-move documentation."
