TOM'S AUTO REPAIR

Although Tom's building doesn't have much curb appeal, the quality of his work is top notch. I do most of my own maintenance and would rather spend hours in my garage fixing my vehicles myself because I hate the crazy prices most places charge. I make an exception for Tom. He gives me fair prices and has always been honest with me. It's worth it for me to use him instead of doing it myself.
Although he has called me on a few occasions to tell me he found more after he tore the car apart, I live close enough to go over and verify. Tom hasn't steered me wrong yet!

Tom fixed the front end that was wrecked by someone that borrowed my van. Tom found a used part (as he always does for older vehicle) and fixed it quickly and correctly. Tom is the most honest auto repair person I have found in 20+ years. They always bend over backwards to help me and flexible when I bring car/ pick up car or van. I referred a friend (that lives 25 min away) and she went to another shop closer to her one time - and then, came back to Tom because they failed to fix the problem at first shop. I have used Tom for auto body work and all different repairs on my older car and van. He is always reasonable, quick, very reasonable and HONEST which is rare when it comes to auto repair places. He is busy but always seems to get things done when needed.

My issues started Friday afternoon. Truck was shifting hard between 30 and 50. I thought transmission, tried to add transmission treatment to truck, but in the dark added it to my oil. Spent the weekend getting it up to Jiffy Lube to get the oil flushed. That caused the plugs to foul out. Replaced the plugs, still the truck would stay running. AAA picked up truck from Jiffy Lube and left it at Tom's Auto Repair. They called the next day with an estimate to replace the fuel pump. Then noticed the truck was running hot and in need of a new radiator. They replaced the radiator as well for an additional $200. My truck was ready for pick up on Monday. It runs so much better after the repairs. I'm glad Tom's was recommended to my by a friend.

It takes time to establish a relationship with an auto mechanic. After our three experiences with Tom's we feel hopeful that we will have a long relationship with this business and our vehicles will be in good hands.

Tom and his wife are honest, open, and think about how to provide value for you w/o spending too much. Multiple times, I have received quotes from dealers and had him complete the work quickly and correctly for a fraction of the price. I strongly recommend his shop's work.
