The Fence Post

I went on the Angi app and several fence builders responded, Agni sent an email that Erick from The Fence Post would come and measure. He quoted 30 dollars a foot. However, said his boss would quote $40 so tell Erick said $30. Quoted $ 3832 for my fence plus one gate,1140 for the second gate and shared neighbor fence, $ 280 for 3rd gate, and $ 586 for a French drain. He explained explained two men would come with him, his son was in landscaping and would remove all the brush to install the fence. He would work on the outside of the fence so shrubs and plants would not be harmed. He came with two small children and his older son, all 16 and under. Work a day then off 2to days then back again. Paid 1/2 down for the big fence $1916. No lumber was delivered to the driveway as promised. He brought what he needed every two to three days. His wife and children came on a Saturday and worked. He didn't call the utilities to check the buried wires. My neighbor did. Excuses that delayed the job, the two men, one was hospitalized, one had COVID-19, his son had to go to court, He had to have two removed, and he stepped on a nail. I pointed out how the only gate he installed was poorly done," Oh I will put boards on it and a new latch", this was after I said you used the old latch and a piece from my other gate and reversed the swing to the left. WHY? His son broke his trencher so he needed $600 to buy a new one from the balance I owed him to get it and finish. So, I paid him. October the 3rd $719.00 He said he would be back Monday Monday, October 7. Never showed. I am missing 3 gates, and finished fence posts, he destroyed 2 bushes, and aligned the fence on the right side a good 8 inches inward butted up on a sprinter head with cement poured right next to it. The post has not been filled with cement even with the soil, see pictures of the left side of the fence he dug a hole on top of the sprinkler pipe, and broke it, so I now called a Sprinkler Company to repair it and closed the other head. It's an ugly mess. My neighbor sent a notice from the app NEXTDOOR. His picture and scamming activity, leaving the job unfinished, sloppy work, etc was posted. The person who posted is filing a civil court. See pictures. He changes his name and company name and blocks your phone number. I woke up after reading that and stopped paying the $719 check. My bank had not processed so I hope I caught it. I assume a reference from Angi was reliable resourcing of vendors. And then to receive an introductory email for Erick. Advertising a platform for service professionals! I guess anyone can sign up to be a service professional. So disappointed.

They did an excellent job replacing our wood fence that was downed during latest storms. Unlike most other companies, they used screws instead of nails and provided install options and recommendations to me and my various neighbors. The team communicated professionally and were available within a week.

Working with this company was the best decision I could have made other than putting it up myself.. They. took pride in their work and finished sooner than expected!

Not only were they fast to repair the damage from the storm but they were not price gauging as many others were in a time of need. Great work was done and I hired them again to replace my gate. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended!!!
