Sony - Woodlands

I purchased a Sony Playstation 3 from The Sony Store in the Woodlands Mall in the Woodlands, TX, just before christmas for a gift. I asked several times what the return policy was and the reply was January 15th for a cash refund. We tried to take the item back prior to January 15th and was informed that all sales were final on opened merchandise and they would not take it back. I explained that none of the sales representatives on duty had said anything about an open item clause. They said it was printed on the receipt. It was on the back in fine print but was not made available until after the sale. I checked at other consumer electronics stores and they had no problem with open box returns and would readily refund the cash price with the receipt. The Sony Store's competitors would take back the sony products but their own store would not. They have an extremely poor policy and have lost our entire family's business.
