Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade
SJDI ELECTRIC INC, located at { remove address } with Master: Flanagan, Jackie H (License#: 194460, Expiration: 3/10/20), was assigned by my home warranty company to address issues with my electrical panel, doorbell, and a non-functioning outlet. The technician conducted himself professionally, documented the required repairs, and indicated that he would submit his findings to the warranty company and proceed with ordering necessary parts. Within two days, our warranty claim was denied based on the technician's report, and we were informed we would be responsible for the cost of repairs. SJDI Electric subsequently provided a repair estimate exceeding $10,000. After obtaining three additional estimates, each ranged from one-third to half of the quoted amount. Based on this experience, I do not recommend SJDI Electric

Daniel and Sy are incredible! The company was issued to me through my home warranty company after I called to request a new contractor. The first contractor issued had horrible reviews in multiple platforms and I was not comfortable with them doing the work. After a call to the warranty company SJDI was assigned and I am so grateful. My parents were assigned them on the past and spoke highly of them. Daniel came the first day and fixed all the switches that were done incorrectly, and found a very dangerous electrical situation with the oven. Pretty much if I would have touched the microwave and oven simultaneouslyI would have been a conductor and could have been seriously injured. He found that this was due to free current coming from the oven. He disconnected it all the way to the panel due to the code violation. The next day they sent the estimate with what it would cost to fix with the warranty credit and I was scheduled for the next appointment. For this appointment both of them were there and took care of everything that needed attention and for the price they provided. They have great customer service, communication, and efficiency. Their attention to detail and quality of work surpasses the large electric companies and other small businesses. These guys care about the work and the client which is refreshing and how all businesses should be. I have other work not covered under the warranty that I will be having them do as well. Let these guys do all your electrical work. You won't regret it!

We were put in contact with SJDI through our home warranty. Our tech, Sy, called about 30 minutes before our appointment to let us know he was on his way. He arrived on-time, was friendly and courteous, assessed the problem and had it fixed in under 15 minutes. He also took a look at a couple of other electrical issues that we were concerned about, offered advice and even though we aren't ready to tackle the other issues today, we will very likely be hiring SJDI to take care of them when we are. Recommended!

The provider was able to find the problem and it was much cheaper than another quote we got. They were able to fix the issue that 4 other providers could not. They were very nice, courteous, quick, and responsive.

They came and got an idea of what to do and said they'd need two people and have to do it on a Saturday . So I called in early November 2? and booked it for Sat., Dec. 13. None of our outlets work out in the front or in the sunroom, so we can't do any Christmas lighting out front until it was fixed. But we got in the back of the line and waited our turn to be serviced. Then, on the Friday, Dec. 12, the company calls and leaves a message cancelling the appt. for the very next day. And they say they can't get to it until AFTER CHRISTMAS!!!!
When I call back to ask why this is, they say it's because of Christmas season and all the emergencies. (Emergencies? Like what? like getting Christmas lights up? We wanted that done too, but we waited three weeks for the scheduled appointment.)
Very disappointed.
Last time they were here, they did a fine job...nothing beyond standard quality. But, the unprofessionalism on cancelling right before Christmas when we had waited patiently for three weeks seems to tilt the rating towards not worth the effort. If they say you have to wait three weeks, hire someone else the week after just in case they flake on you.

"Majority of the time when can hold true to our schedule and do our best to accommodate each customer. By rare chance we occasionally get hit with a high number of priority calls with people having half and or no power to the entire home as has been the case the past couple weeks. That combined with the fact we were down a tech left us short handed. Apologized for the inconvenience this has caused and attempted to reschedule. Owner chose to look elsewhere for sooner service which is understandable."

This was done through a home warranty program. In my experience, home warranty programs use the worst possible people to do the work. That IS NOT he case with SJDI. After making my claim with the home warranty folks, I received a prompt phone call from a nice lady at SJDI. This was afirst for me; providers contracting with home warranties have always forced me to originate contact with them first after days of waiting.
SJDI gave me a two hour window and showed up promptly. He identified the best theory for what was causing my issues and even gave me on-the-phone support after he left.
I would not hesitate to contact him directly next time if necessary. Great guys. Great company.

Although friendly and professional, Sy from SJDI Electric (contracted by Fidelity National Home Warranty) incorrectly diagnosed an electrical issue that would've cost $575 to resolve when in reality all it was was a loose connection in an outlet that was sharing the same circuit as the microwave. Sy said i needed to install an isolated 20 amp for the microwave in order to restore the loss of neutral and correct the "overloaded circuit" problem. I consulted another electrician from LED Electrical Services and he troubleshooted the problem successfully. I plan to get my $145 reimbursed by my home warranty company!

SJDI was called to my home through my home warranty with First American. I had a ceiling fan that was not functioning.
I've dealt with many contractors over the years through my home warranty company and SJDI is by far the best. They are extremely professional and communicative. The technician who came to my home was very polite and informative. It ended up taking some time to get everything completed (several trips), due to issues w/the fan manufacturer and their warranty, but SJDI kept me in the loop and I never felt like I was getting the run around.
Overall, great company. I would definitely recommend them!

I scheduled an appointment through AHS home warranty online on Sunday. SJDI called that following morning and set up an appointment for the next day in the morning as I had requested. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. The technician, Daniel, was so polite and informative. He showed up within the time window I was given and called ahead to let me know he was 10-15 minutes away. He talked me through what had happened and what he did to fix the problems. He was very personable and friendly. I will absolutely use them in the future.

We had a light and ceiling fan that needed to be installed. We also had a non functioning ceiling fan that needed to be fixed. The first contractor we called did not return our calls. SJDI responded promptly and gave us a ballpark quote for the work over the phone. The appointment was scheduled 2 days later and the contractor turned up early. He worked efficiently and as the broken ceiling fan was a simple fix he did not charge for that work. All we paid for was the installation of the new fan. Very satisfied and we would use them again.

I made the appointment through their office -- referred through AHS Home Insurance for a home surge protector (not sure of official name). Daniel arrived on time. He had it installed within an hour. Very professional and would definitely use them again.

After inspecting the panel, he told me that it was functioning within parameters but should be changed out because it was a Zinsco panel (known to cause fires). He gave us an estimate that, according to my research, was a good price.
He was unable to make the scheduled appointment time but called to apologize and to reschedule. He came and worked quickly to change out the panel. Throughout our experience, he was polite and appeared to be very efficient. Daniel came later and helped to finish the job. They stayed until the area was clean, and the panel was properly labeled. Sy then showed us the panel and ensured that we had no other questions.
