 + -1 moreI wrote an earlier review, this is an update. The owner of the store called and left a voicemail, when we returned the call he has not responded to us since. This place is an absolute nightmare, you drive in needing minor repairs, and leave with a vehicle that is absolutely un-drivable!!!! Save yourself time and money, and go somewhere else.
Description of Work: Went in to get A/C repaired, my transmission was blown when I left the shop.

 + -1 morePoorly. After leaving the shop, a couple of miles down the road my check engine light came on. I had to turn around and go back resulting my being late to work. Manager checked and said they failed to properly close my gas cap after performing inspection. When I started the car to go home from work check engine light came on again, but by then the store was closed. Took car back next morning - evidently when they checked my air filter they forgot to re-attach a hose. Absolute carelessness with no attention to detail. Resulted in my leaving later than planned for a trip to Dallas.

 + 0 moreEverything went very well. Jabier was my Technician. I informed him of the problem and he was very thorough did a courtesy inspection to identify the problem. Once done, it was determined that the rack and pinion was damaged and leaking fluid, so the parts were replaced. The power steering was also flushed, and old fluid was replaced with new fluid. My car was also given a 4 wheel computerized alignment to make needed adjustments. Jabier was very attentive and kept me informed of their progress as they were working on my car. What also impressed me was after my car was lifted and the problem was identified, he requested that I come in the service area so he could point out the problem and what needed to be done. I left my car overnight and the driver gave me a ride home as well as picked me up the next morning to pick up my car. The Technicians are knowledgeable and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place.
Description of Work: Due to an oil leak, needed Power Steering Rack and Pinion on 1995 Honda Accord replaced.

 + 0 moreInitially, I had planned on getting one parking light in back and the side marker light replaced, but the repairman indicated that one of the front parking light was very dim and suggested that I might want to replace it also. I said yes and all lights were replaced within an hour or less. This was my first visit and I had a great experience. As a result, I plan to use Service First Automotive in the future.

 + -1 moreOverall good, however they did try to up-sell me by saying trans fluid and rear differential fluid were due to be changed. Truck had 42,000 miles and owners manual doesn't call for change until 100,000. I knew better but concerned others may be agreeing to unnecessary serrvices. Have them show you where the owners manual suggests such a change.

 + -1 moreMy car was a total loss and I lost $800. So badly!!!!
Description of Work: Our 8 year old car had been driven 180,000 miles and driving well. My son drove it to school (several miles away) and said it stalled several times, there and back home. I test drove it and it stalled as well. Service First Automotive is a few miles away and I drove it there for a diagnosis. . The mechanics said it could be a number of things. Most likely a defective part that cost appx. $800. I assumed the initial diagnosis was correct and authorized the install. I received a call several days later that the car was working perfectly and to pick it up. The car stalled getting out of Service First Automotive driveway. I drove it around the block and brought it back, The mechanics said it was now the wiring, which could be fixed for a few hundred additional dollars. Not having a choice and already authorizing a $800. payment I agreed to this. That didn't work either!!I was told it could be something else. The car was 8 years old, and had 180,000 miles. I decided to end this guessing, money pit game and declare the car a total loss. I asked that the $800 part be taken out of the car (which wasn't used), and be reimbursed for that but I would pay for the labor. I tried working with the management to no avail. No refund was given.

 + -1 moreTook my Excursion in because the transmission was kicking out of over drive. Was quoted $400 for the job (Fair enough). Unfortunately the tech broke off the sensor they were replacing and dropped it inside the trans case. They quoted me an additional $300 to go in and remove and replace the fluids to fix the new problem. I asked to have a manager give me a call as I thought it to be a bit wrong that I should pay for a mistake made by their guy. I use a professional mechanic as they should know how to prevent these problems and carry the responsibility if they make a mistake. A manager never called and I was left with a $700 bill when I picked the truck up. No explanation ever given. I gave a fair star on quality as nearly every time a pick a vehicle up it has to go back in for minor details that would have been picked up in a test drive. For example this last time there was no reverse. Of course, when I took it back they did immediately fix it as it only needed an adjustment. Even had a mechanic standing by for my return. I do not know if I would use this company again as I feel a bit burned on this one.

Austin was my main point of contact and he was amazing! He has excellent customer service skills and truly listened to my needs. The waiting room is very nice and comfy. The staff even got me something to drink and there is a play area (enclosed) for your kids to play while you wait. I am very happy to have found such a warm and friendly place to get my oil changed.

 + 0 moreI use this place for oil changes and tire rotations-- and some repairs. Last week I brought 3 cars in over 3 days. On this day I dropped my car off and told them I did not need it till 2pm. At 1130 I realized my child forgot her lunch at camp and called them asking if I could have it earlier. When I arrived the technician was leaving for a test drive. The office person ran out the door in the 103 degree heat, chased him down and got my car back. The manager saw I was in a hurry and said, "go" return and pay later. "Take care of your child." Who in this day and age lets you leave without paying and cares? The Service Advisor was Eddie Tijerina, but it was a female who checked me out and did the running. They are so happy and nice there. What a great place. Ipads to use, TV, quiet or not-- clean bathrooms and excellent staff. You can always tell a place that treats its employees well. I cannot say enough good things.

In the meantime, the person needed the car, and drove it to work . The AC has worked flawlessly since then. On the plus side, previously, they were correct in advising me to get 2 new tires for my car.

 + -1 moreThe customer experience is awesome at this place. They may be a bit pricier than other but they do not push unnecessary repairs. They evaluate the current condition and give you recommendations on how long you can wait for the service or repair.
Description of Work: I had an oil change and asked them to check my brakes that they installed in august 2013(rear) and jan 2014 (front). They concluded the front pad were making noise that was not understood. They replaced the pad at no charge very quickly while I waited.
