We specialize in WOODEN fences and replacements only - 7x Super Service Award Winner- I left in 1975 for the military. I've been a Police Officer and a soldier most of my life. When I returned to Houston in Oct. 2010 I decided to pursue something less hazardous. We receive most of our work from Word of mouth. Some, from lead referral services. We've done 1000+ fences and carry a 4.8 out of 5 rating with over 570 customer reviews. I'm a disabled Veteran, and I'm offering to use my disability discount up to $200.00 on any fencing project to all those that sign with Selph Made Fences. Only one offer per customer. Great negotiating with Tony. He was able to lower the initial quote when he got a cheaper deal on supplies. The crew arrived promptly at 9 AM and were done by 2 PM. Pro job all around with nice vertical slats and metal brackets on the post. Very happy with the whole experience.

I had Tony Selph of Selph Made Fence install a fence with gates on my property. He guaranteed workmanship or he would fix it. The day after installation I called Tony Selph to advise that a gate would not work. He promised to send someone to fix it. After several weeks no one came to fix the gate. And Tony Selph never came out to inspect the issue. I am retired and always at home – so he did not come by when I was not home. After several weeks, I called again, and he evaded his responsibility claiming that he wasn’t responsible for wood warping or ground movement. I advised that the gate did not work when he installed it, and the wood did not warp in one day nor did the ground move in one day. He then claimed shortage of wood and the backup due to a storm. It has gone on for 3 months with no satisfaction. I ended up hiring another fence contractor to fix the gate (took 4 hours). Surely in 3 months Tony Selph could have found 4 hours to fix his poor workmanship. I don’t want any money – just wanted the gate to be fixed. Tony Selph has demonstrated that he will not stand by his work. I am sorry I had him install the fence.

Gate worked perfectly when we left or we wouldn't have left.. that's just purely stupid. you were reminded that there's no warranty on wood. (pretty much why you needed to say it never worked right). BUT I was willing to send someone, however.. after the hurricane and weeks of rain we were quite backed up on installs. 6 days a week. you were told it would take time.. so thanks for taking care of it.."

The team did a great job and we are extremely happy with the final product. We had some last minute changes to our scope of services; first additional footage and then a change in kind of fencing in a particular area. They worked with us and took back materials not needed. Tony and the team did great from the initial quote to finished project.

The install went OK and on time. But when we asked him to repair minor items later they refused. We would’ve paid for the guys time but no. So zero customer service after the job. They kept blaming it on wood warping, blah blah blah blah.

"if you read your contract,as in EVER contract in this industry, wood is not covered in the warranty. Nobody...can stop wood from warping. Not only is it stated in your contract but it's repeated to you verbally. Our customers are our are the most valuable part of our business as reflected by over 600 testimonies in cyber space. As an installer I've made a promise to my crews to do my best in providing work so they can provide for their families. Which is why we don't do small repairs. I Can't pay then a full days wage for replacing a 2x4."

Tony’s brother came out and gave us a quote on a whole fence replacement. Out of 3 quotes, they were the fairest priced and we felt more comfortable with the quality of their work based on previous reviews and photos. Throughout the whole process, Tony’s communication was great. The fence was installed (with 2 gates) and we are very happy with the quality and appearance. We just sealed it and it looks great!

Extremely well. Crew arrived, tore down old, planted new posts in concrete, attached all boards and built 2 gates. The job totally finished in 1 day! Quality materials used. Owner quoted fare price, crew was courteous. Cleaned up all debris before leaving.

Very professional, provided a realistic bid on the job. Talked through some unique elements and designed a solution. Delivered materials and had utilities marked as scheduled and communicated well a very slight rain delay. Workers showed up and efficiently got the job done. It was a pleasure doing business with this company, especially since it's veteran owned. They came out on time to do the estimate and was up front about everything that needed to be done. They require half of the payment up front and the balance when completed, I thought that was fair. The price quoted was very reasonable compared to some other quotes I had gotten and they did a great job on the fence, it really looked nice and well put together. They even gave me pointers on maintaining it, I was very please with the overall process and they're honesty and professionalism. I would highly recommend this company.
