R & R METAL WORKS

Didn't go well. 
Didn't "GO" at all. 
With the exception of taking a deposit for $300 and removing the existing gate nothing else happened.  The timing was imperfect as contractors became slammed with work after Hurricane Ike, so the summer of '08 slipped into winter and with the holidays Eduardo (R&R's owner) came visits to home in Mexico.  Throughout the four (4) years I hoped R&R would make good on the promise to fabricate and install a new gate, Eduardo at least responded to my e-mails. I was patient and confident that Eduardo would eventually come through.  Summer 2010 following lots of scheduled and rescheduled appointments (mine as often as his) brought the news that the particular design I'd selected was no longer available.  Eduardo directed me to visit a local manufacturer where I obtained a catalogue and looked at pre-fabricated segments he would then be able to fashion into something similar.  I spent a great deal of time researching every aspect of the gate and advised Eduardo of the entire parts list down to the cane bolt, locking mechanism and hinges.  I designed an entirely new gate and we exchanged e-mails and I made modifications to the design based on his directions, and all it did was eat up more time.  By the summer of 2012 when year another year had passed with numerous broken appointments (by him) and emails no longer being answers I finally found Architectural Fabricators (another Angie's List provider if memory serves) who had a gate installed within 4 weeks. The one I wanted originally!!
Can't recommend Jason & Architectural Fabricators highly enough while highly discouraging use of R&R. 

THE OWNER AND INSTALLER WAS VERY POLITE, TOLD US WHAT THE CITY WOULD REQUIRE. HELPED US MAKE SOME DESIGN DECISIONS. HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH.
